Someone probably found this already, but recently a friend of mine killed Dogmeat in Cafe of Broken Dreams and suddenly, a guy in black popped out right in front of him and said something like "Don't ye be messing with my dog." The guy is armed with H&K G11E and if you shoot him it says something like "Mel was shot for xx points." I mean, Mel?! Looks awfully like a Mad Max reference. I need to know if this is a new easter egg or people found it already.
 
Yeah, it's a Mad Max reference. Dogmeat is the dog from the second movie, so it's clear that Max/Mel gets angry if you kill his dog. I've never tried it, but I've heard of it, so it's not new.
 
Does this only happen if you kill Dogmeat in the Cafe of Broken Dreams or does it happen where ever you kill Dogmeat?

Hm. I checked Per's walkthrough and this is what he has to say:

If you ever hurt Dogmeat while he's not in your party, Mel [Gibson] shows up packing a H&K G11E and they both attack you.

I'm not sure anymore, but I think you can't give any orders to Dogmeat (like: 'Leave!' or 'Stay put!'), so I suppose it means that Dogmeat and Mel can only really attack you in the Cafe of Broken Dreams, yeah.

Now for another question, is it possible to get the Broken Dreams encounter more than once in the same game?
 
How would that be possible? When you have a random encounter, it stays on your map. Having another random encounter would mean that there would be two same places on separate locations on the map, which is impossible.
 
Actually, I remember multiple Bridgekeeper encounters were possible, and that one stayed on the map, right?
 
Wait...they stay on the map?
Ok, must have forgot about that. Funny, i can never remember the encouters actually staying as a location after leaving them!

But anyways, thanks for the heads up about that.
 
The cafe and the bridge appear multiple times, the others dont, I think, I havent played FO2 regulary 4 a while.
