The japanese 'muscle'!

Japanese muscle knows nothing of class!

Currently I drive a 99' Subaru Forester... I'd sell my soul for a TVR - Tuscan

The new one is so overhyped, no way a 3800 lb car that has only 480 hp can get to 60mph in 3.5 seconds and have an 11.7 second 1/4 mile @ 149 MPH (a Ferrari 599 GTB only does ~125). It has a cool customizeable instrument display in the center stack though.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here build on cars themselves? I mean like tuning, customizing etcetera?
Been tuning Volvos since I was about 14 years old or so, and I've loved it.

I ride a Yamaha Virago 1000 '87

Mine is dark blue with a streak of dark red over the tank, and has black leather saddle bags.
Very comfortable saddle and with highway pegs it is made for long rides
It is pretty old, but a japanese built large bore engine like this will probably last me another 20 years.

During winter season I must confine myself to public transportation.

I long for may.

the past week, i've had layers of ice forming on my gloves (and helmet) while riding to work on my motorcycle. :P

Nice!
I would be riding all winter too if it were not for the slippery roads.
I am sure I would have an accident trying to control 240kg on two slick tyres on the completely iced roads we have here.

Are the roads where you live ice free all winter?

obviously not guaranteed icefree no. but most major roads are.

i'm more worried about cars than about the roads tbh. each time that i had an accident was due to people doing stupid shit, not the state of the roads.

and yeah, slicks are a bad idea ;)

I love KTMs...

Me to, my fav is the Super Duke, I need to own one. Duke is my surname so its destiny:

I am a cyclist and biker, I commute 25 miles a day into central London. I prefer to cycle but when the weather is bad I jump on my pimped Honda XR. I just bough a power pipe for her :D she likes to make allot of noise.

I almost came off last week, I lost the back tyre on black ice. Its so dodgy right now. Its so painful using public transport so I would rather take my chances with the ice

So whether I like it or not, I am stuck riding a bus to work from october till may until I buy myself a car.

Regarding your accidents, that is definitely the major drawback with riding a motorcycle. Other people on the roads.
I prefer a black leather jacket while riding, but then other people don't see me and are likely to slam into me.

And I might have been exaggerating a wee bit about the slick tyres... They do have treads, but not much left, though.

i dont feel racers have enough character. nor do i currently see myself wanting one. i've got no use for a motorcycle that goes faster than 140km/h and sputters when driving in the city...
