I watched the video a while ago, and I would categorize them as friends not colleagues. Sure they met at a huge professional conference, but they were mostly drinking buddies. She never worked with him or for him.

What is the difference in this context? If they were work associates (colleagues) then this text message could potentially start a sexual harassment lawsuit, but since they were friends it is merely a social faux pas.
 
If it were true it wouldn't detract from his work but it's very clearly not true. None of the claims actually add up if you take the time to sift through the evidence.
