Cinematic Titanic!

Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff and Mary Jo Pehl are back, baby! That's right, we're (finally) seeing the just rebirth of the MST3K concept at the hands of its original creator (while Mike Nelson works on Rifftrax, also great).

This is the new National Holiday, October 30, bitch!

Additionally, if you missed it, The Bots Are Back, with all-new animated adventures of the MST3K bots launching November 5.

NO FUCKING WAY YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!

Kharn, Kharn!

I watched MST3K for only a few years due to discovering it later on in life and I only saw the last few years. Addittionally I never even saw all of the episodes on those years since it was on at odd times.

Since them I've gone to great lengths paying large sums of cash to get ahold of them on DVD. It's bad enough paying more then $30 for one season of a show when you're very cheap, but almost a sin to pay $50 since they're out of production now, but I can't help my low-funds and thrifty nature I value them more than their weight in gold.

Now you tell they'll be back on air? Ok maybe a bit different, but if the creators are there and they're doing the same thing.

I won't click those links. Ever. If I do and my dreams come true I'll die. Either from severe shock immediately knowing such stuff can happen or eventual laughter once I watch them.

Seriously, USD 30 to 50? Per *season*? That sounds dirt cheap to me, please tell me how I can get them that cheap. I'd love to have such high-point seasons like Season 3, 4, 8 and 9 for my collection.

For those of us that do not watch tv. MST3K? What is it?

A show in which two robots and a guy are trapped in a satellite and forced to watch really bad movies by evil scientists. They survive only by riffing on said bad movies.

The show ran on Comedy Central (and other channels) for 10 years, often changing the cast but never changing the great humour.

10 years of MST3K

Sorry for not being specific due to excitement.

When I first bought a few about five years ago I got them for $40.

Then last year I got another at...$80. I bet if I buy another this year it'll be almost $100. I should have stopped buying stuff for like six months five years ago and just bought all of them instead of buying one a year and paying higher amounts. I'll probably never get them all since they'll run out eventually. Right now I only have four.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Ok, but from where? I wouldn't mind paying 160-200 dollars for Season 3 and 9, but I've never seen any MST3K full seasons on offer via my favourite retailers.

I will check and send you a PM with the site links and how much I payed for what seasons.

By the way I still haven't checked your links.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I've said it before but I'll say it again.

If you miss MST3k GET RIFF TRAX PEOPLE!

They are good. I suggest Independance Day.

As a side note I liked Joel way more than Mike but the Riff Trax are still really good.

Seems to me that what he's talking about are the collections, not full seasons of the series. Thanks to liscensing issues, there's virtually no way that they'll ever be able to release an entirely intact season (in fact, Volume Ten is a rarity worth upwards of three times the original sales price because the guys who own Godzilla got pissed that one of their movies was included and had it recalled immediately). The collections usually include 4 movies (occaisionally 3 movies and some goodies disk like a Shorts collection or the Poopie reel) and retail for $40 - $60 USD. They just released volume 11.

No, he's talking about incomplete seasons. Nobody offers complete seasons, but some do offer them with like 2 or 3 episodes taken out for legal reasons.

I prefer the incomplete seasons to the collections, though, which are too disorganized for my tastes. I prefer sequential collections.

Just ordered season 9 sans 3 epsides for 55 USD. Since USD is like fake money now, that's dirt cheap.

Good lord, those EXIST? I've been in entertainment retail for most of my adult life and I've never seen one. The American markets have really been getting shortchanged.

Unless you're talking about the middling-grade bootlegs you can buy online.

Yes, those (at least, I assume they are). Since they generally include all episodes except those in the collections (which would be prosecutable, since those are out on commercial release or whomever) you can supplement them with the collections and end up with the Complete MST3K.

Quality is supposed to be really high, though. I'll find out when I get 'em.

Best news in years... MST3K IS BACK!!!!!!!!

This, for me personally, makes Fallout 3 easier to swallow... knowing everyone is back... Joel, Mike, Frank, Kevin Murpy, Trey.

I'm going to send them a blank check with a note saying "8 More Seasons"!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a preview for the new show "Cinematic Titanic". Sorry guys... no puppets, but the actors are all here...
