Crimson Room; See if you can get out!

Jazz_Fascist

First time out of the vault
A friend sent me this link: http://flash.qbol.net/pl;p/youxi/images/04042203.swf

You are locked in a 'Crimson' room. There are 13 items to find.
If you found:
0-6 items, your IQ is very low, total idiot
6-8 items, Low IQ, you are an idoit
9-10 items, you are normal
11-12 items, your IQ is high, above the average.
13 items found and get out of the room, there are less than 4,000
people in the world can do it, or so they say. Check it out, it's good.

Gave up at 12. Dancey - Dancey.

A link to a game guide store! To buy a Guide to a flash game! So I can be one of the most intelligent people in the worldde! Item locations are pretty stupid, by the way.

I made it to 12 as well and then had to cheat since the link on the paper is broken. Once I opened the s**e I made it out. This isn't an intelligence test, it's a point-and-click puzzle game. There are thousands of people on the guy's website who claim they solved it, so I doubt it's that hard if you've got a working link.

Made it to 12... Then the darn site wouden't give me the combo, and the rest is pretty much like Per said....
Fun game thou...

I guess that link is supposed to provide the code. Had to cheat for that too, then made it out.

Not hard, but annoying. Doesn't test your IQ in any way, unless IQ means the ability to click everywhere on the screen. A few things have logic behind it, but most of it is random, so they don't relate to your intelligence

There are not less than 4,000 people in the world that can do this, that's stupid. At best there once were less than 4,000 *visitors* of the site that could do it

Phew, what an annoying puzzle. My left mouse button will never be the same again.

And by the gods, is this Jazz_Fascist the same guy who started the legendary "Who do you think is more sexy?"-thread? Welcome back, man!

I had to read the rest of this thread to figure out how to get past the damn code but got the rest by myself... Really not a test of intelligence so much as clicking randomly and a lot like you guys said. - Colt

Yer, saw it.

You know, actually, I think I got the most fun in these two stupid games by the unbelievably bad translation.

I mean, the guy types worse than CCR. He can't even spell "meat" properly.

13 on the first one, with the link broken I just googled Takagism History and found another link that looks like it is the same as the original (I'm guessing): http://www.portalchapeco.com.br/~jackson/history.html I guess thats not technically cheating.. I haven't tried the second one yet

Pretty easy other than that, if you want a real challenge make your way over to: www.notpron.com "The hardest riddle on the net"

Edit: I'm still working my way through notpron, I found it some months ago, and occasionally go back on to see if I can do some more, it gets really hard quite quickly..

I've played 99 rooms before, its awesome; as Per said, brilliant atomsphere. Definately worth 30 minutes of your time.

Very cool. Nice pics, although some of the artwork sucks a little bit.

The Viridian Room was better than the first one. Less just random clicking and a bit more thinking. Took me longer to get out.

Spoiler.

So are you supposed to be the spirit of the idiot who overdosed himself?

It's not so bad, but hah... I've found only 9 items (or 10, don't remember, so I'm only normal... ;() and simply got myself angry. The puzzles 're really messed up, at the first look some places seems to be unachievable. I'm too impatient to solve it... As well that link doesn't work. Crap!

"Viridian Room" seems better, but it's yet more complicated than the original. I won't take a real try -- I fear I'd trash my keyboard or something...

How people find time for these intellectually challenging clicky-clicky minigames when the gaming variant of crack (a.k.a. World of Warcraft) is out there is beyond me.

I just had a wonderful idea. I'll make a game called "Liberia: See if you can get out!"
