Hey, Brother None, what if the BoS got into vertibird construction once they got those plans from Navarro? After they had a few built, they could send a few expeditions cross the continent. It's possible that one of said expeditions could lead to New York, and they could start recruitment there, or something. It is possible.

There is no canon that the Chosen One got the Vertibird plans to anyone, let alone the BoS.

And what makes you think vertibirds are capable of cross-continental travel?

This thread is about critters in Fo3 i had a dream about escaped zoo animals or circus animals escaping and surviving in the harsh post apocalyptic environment being mutanted like so many other things in the wasteland, imagine herds of mutant elephants or rhinos making there way across the wasteland, heck groups of nomadic tribals could use them as mounts, or maybe big mutant wild cats mutated to the point were the mutation has made them revert to a almost prehistoric levels wastelander fangtooth cats anyone.
