Tried DOWNLOADING it?

Lack of reading comprehension makes my brain hurt.

Watch this trailer. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39054.html

Notice how fluid the movement is? How you don't see the slightest hitch?

Now watch the 40k trailer. Notice how it's smooth when the camera is zoomed up... but when it pulls back with a lot of action, it just goes to shit? Yeah.

You should be able to tell a huge difference in frames per second until ~120.

PS- 15mbit up and down, the trailer was fully loaded in seconds.

I saw it too; a game chugging on the trailer rig doesn't bode well for scalability

For serious, guys, you can clearly see the game starting to stutter at both the 1:00 and 1:10 mark. Has absolutely nothing to do with download rates or computers on our end, this game looks like it'll be up on the high-end.

It shouldn't push any machine more than Supreme Commander on the highest settings.. but yes, it will require a hardware upgrade for most :)

(But hey, it's worth it, right?)

I'll just keep it on medium settings then, that or buy a new processor.

Though Tyranids without any Hellhound flame tanks to make some nid shish kebab is slightly disapointing

I was about to get a new rig in June this year, then the DoW 2 stuff began topop up, so I dalayed my purchase. Notice my rig is 7 years old now, and I'm a hero surviving with [P4 1.6, GeForce 5500, 512Mb RAM].

Around January 2009 I'll get this:

*Core 2 Quad Q9450 (will overclock it a bit, to get 3.0Ghz)
*GeForce 9800 GTX 512Mb (256bits)
*4Gb Ram

And other "minor stuff" like 500Gb hard-disk, 7.1 sound system, etc etc. That should be enough for DoW 2 and all other stuff will play - both news and great olds I missed like Bioshock, Mass Effect, Orange Box, etc.

Be patient. Imperial guard is inevitable in an expansion - and it's likely there will be more than one, duo to the ammount of races.

Whoa that's a damn tasty rig your getting. :D

Yea I guess I'll have to wait, or just play Winter Assault a lot :P .

So yeah, is slamming more races in their repertoire of incredibly poor balancing a good idea?

Relic has only managed to make one RTS that was properly balanced and that was Homeworld, and the sequel was messed up beyond all belief to the point that it doesn't really matter.

Well as this game hasn't actually come out yet this race might be balanced, unless it turns out you can see into the future or something.

This is fucking impossible. Go look at the news section of this forum and tell me you can say that without gagging on your own tongue.

I know Relic's track record, and their track record says their ability to optimally balance races is abysmal, as I said, the only game they managed to do well with was Homeworld, and that series was butchered by its sequel.
