Dealing with the NCR Mercs at Jacobstown

I used my NCR status to send them packing, and talked to Marcus immediately after.

Then I ran back out, and I crouched and headshotted the generic mercs from the up on the hill/cliff side to the right of the jacobstown gate (if you are facing the town), one at a time using silenced sniper rifle with one shot of JSP each, starting with the last man in line so nobody saw the others fall.

It took a while so Norton got a looong way off and almost over a hill before I took his head clean off from behind as he was backlit against the sky.

Not sure if I doomed the muties, but it seemed like the best of both worlds.

I actually did something like this. Whacked the four mercs (pickpocket grenade) returned to Marcus to finish the quest, and then took out Norton. But then I talked to Marcus and he basically had a dialogue as if I had killed them all before the quest ended.

So I am not sure. You might want to talk to Marcus after to see what the result was.

And no, I couldn't wipe out the mutants at Jacobstown. In fact, this basically has forced my hand towards an Independent Vegas.

(I will ally my robot army with the super mutants and the Great Khans, and together we will rain hell on the ruined Legion and the imperialistic NCR, ha hahaha!!!!!)

I stuck with Marcus. I either speech checked one game or paid them off myself.

Couldn't turn in my favorite mutie.

Considering these were the guys planning on the exstermination of my species I don't have any problems killing as many as I can. Its not like these guys were born this way. These are the survivors of an army that tried end the human species. They either willing joined in which case they deserve a bullet in the head, or they were forcibly mutated in which case it wouild be mercy killing.

Of course the Enclave doesn't deserve the same treatment, right?

You know I never said the NCR were bad for what they did at Navarro. I said that the NCR are hypocrites because they embrace the same better you than me logic. I'm judgeing them for having to make moral arguements that thier better than thier enemies when in reality they just want to live rather just survive just like everyone else in the wasteland, and their going to have to kill to have that. Enclave thinks like that, Mutants think like that, NCR thinks like that. Probably the only exceptions to that logic are the Followers and the Legion, even though thier on opposite ends of the spectrum they alone the willing to be selfless in the name of an ideal, you may not like the ideal, but its still an ideal.
