depressing moments in Fallout games?

For me in FO2 whenever i get into an encounter and kids get the bullet..i always try hard not to have that happen..goddamn dumbass npcs with bursts..and whenever cassidy bites the dust, hes my best bud, why is his bald head a bullet magnet..

I have a good imagination, so anytime I see a skeleton in bed, or the presumed deal gone wrong at the Homestead in Point Lookout, I make up the scenario.

It's especially depressing when you see a skeleton suicide case, you begin to wonder how they felt before they did the deed, the world burning around them.

It's also why I love The Road (novel and movie) because it has that same hopeless feeling.

I've never managed to save any of them. I think Ian survived once, though...

If you really really want to, you can save all of them, even Dogmeat. But to save Dogmeat you have to mess with the powerfields (which is annoying) and you still need to be lucky (goddamn dog doesn't always take the path you think he should). I did it once, though. For what it's worth.

IMO, the most depressing FO moment is you getting your ass kicked out of Vault 13 after you save them. Ungrateful sons of bitches.

TBH, the whole game is quite depressing. All the games. I mean we blew up the world and have forced people to live in horrible conditions. Just makes you think...

I tried it once or twice, but it was really frustrating and I never made it.
Maybe one day.
