Hello all,

Does anyone on this forum know a game called Deus, not to confuse with the excellent Deus Ex, Deus was released by Silmarils in 1996 and is a sequel to a game called Robinson's Requiem.

I got somewhat interested in this game after reading about in on Abadonia and I was wondering if there are any people who played it who might be able to tell me about what to expect in the game.

I understand there are two game modes; simulation and arcade.

I haven't tried the game myself yet as I have my doubts that my PC will run it properly and that the game might cause alterations in the config and who knows what.

One of the reasons why I am asking is because I have found it on Ebay and am considering of picking it up.

I've played it a short bit, some years ago. But I was just too stupid for this, or so. I had no clue what to do and where to go. Then I died, I think and deleted the game.

There for a second I thought this is a "Oh shit, reinstalling." threads. I do remember there was a small shop in my hometown in the northern part of the state that used to have alot of older PC games and I think this was amongst their stock. It didn't stick out in particular but it was on the same shelf as Doom and Quake. I kinda regret not ever picking it up now that I'm reading about it.

I'll study this more.

Hi I_eat_supermutants,

Any research done since your last post?

I am curious to know what kind of results or conclusion you made.

I played that when I was younger. You can amputate your own arms and legs in that game. Crazy stuff.

Yeah, there were quite some ailments and other conditions you could catch if you were not careful from what I heard.

One reviewer as part of an experiment amputated all his character's arms and legs and wondered how the last was actually possible.

Heh, imagine if other games would go to this degree of sickness, conditions and interactivity
