Divinity Original sin(and commander)

I'm guessing it depends on how lower on the totem pole your video card is compared to the requirements.

Ha, forgot that part.

It bothers me that the game just been released and there is already a DLC on steam.

The DLC is extra content for backers that can also be purchased separately. It offer no new content to the game, nothing has been cut out to milk it for money. It's two items that are purely fun/cosmetic, plus design documents and the soundtrack.

According to this site, the recommended card is an HD 6670: http://tech-gamer.com/divinity-original-sin-system-requirements-pc/

With DDR5 memory, that is. Does your card have DDR3 or DDR5?

Either way, from what I can tell there isn't a huge difference between the HD 4850 and the HD6670. I run the game on ultra settings on an HD 7850, with a pretty outdated cpu. No hiccups, everything runs smoothly.

So, anyone knows how to grind to a good level to be able to get out of the city? I have 2 extra party members and I keep getting buttsmashed by every encounter and most of the quest objectives I have seem to need to get out of the city to be completed.

Use oil wisely:newevil:
Sight does not affects midnight oil spell but only distance affects.

Did you explore the entire explorable areas? I can't really help because I haven't gotten that far. Also make sure you talk to everyone in town.

Yeah, I think I have talked to everyone. I even started the Space Imp quest by accident.
Can you reccomend me specific quests to get levels so I can even attempt to explore the outskirts of town without getting buttsmashed?

There's a cavern beneath the city with some easy mobs you can kill for xp.

Have you done the quest with the elf and the troll librarian?
Have you found work for the sailors?
Do you have pet pal?
Did you finish the quest with the charmed female orc?
Did you save one of Evelyn's patients?

Can't remember all the quests in town from the top of my head, but those are a few.

The easiest enemies outside of Cyseal are to the west. You should be able to reach level 3 in the town before heading out.

Don't look at spoilers, use your spell wisely, give some bribes to good merchants, buy spell book.

here's some tip with minimum spoiler
1. murder sight is in inn. and you should gain access to the murder sight from captain of legionary.
2. inspect graveyard. dig some suspicious tomb.
3. maybe you can use ballista.

simple but tactical combat
witty puzzles and quest solutions

Con
placements of enemies(it makes quest feel linear)
meaningless choices( what you choose doesn't matter much)
