Do tags/traits reflect one's own true character?

First time out of the vault
I was seriously considering tagging Speech, Science and Small Guns, with Small Frame trait, because I'm a nerd who would much rather talk than fight and yet is fascinated by firearms. Anyone else out there ever find themselves "re-creating" themselves in a FO game?

WTF?! I posted this topic and someone or something added the line {Beats me likes a baby seal "cuz" I'm STOOPID!} or somesuch? WTF?!

OK, fine, I reworded it. Now it says "Because". Happy, you word Nazi?

Goddammit, I was just telling them what the fucking message said! You go and give me another Beats me like a baby seal message SURROUNDING my recounting of the message I saw earlier?! What kind of idiotic childish crap is this?! BECAUSE! BECAUSE! GAHHHH! HAPPY?!

Ego on overload. :)

Me my perception would have to be 2, and all my gun skills would have to be in the negative since I've never even seen a real gun let alone fired one. My sneak would be high though as I seem to be good at sneaking up on people, I either do it subconsciously or people just don't notice me.

So nope I don't tend to recreate myself. More fun being someone different.

Well I always play as myself (I also play with myself...) and it seems to be a good character to play Fallout. Seems like I have some future if the world goes boom. The only thing I don?t have is endurance. That would kill me. If I could get that up, I would be a all-round-small-gun-guy. I?ll do things peacefully, but if you fuck with me, I?ll fuck back harder.

In real life I'm a very [for all the AD&D'ers] Lawful Good character. I actually only just started playing a game with all my real world stats, and its a LOT of fun. Like frissy I dont have that much endurance, but if anyone annoys me, they go down in a hail of bullets [or nasty words]. :D
 
yeah my guy usually seems to represent me since I do like to steal stuff and I am very charismatic (I have at least 2 friends :shock: )
I am OK with small guns..don't know about an SMG though never shot one. Everyone around me does seem to die gruesomly horrible deaths (people with their arms and ribs blown out, people disintegrating and the such) so bloody mess works...the only thing not like me is heavy handed because I say kicking people in the nuts and running like hell is getting lots of critical hits...kinda

We don't edit posts. It's an automatic filter to make sure people post in legible and correct English. Every time you see a line like that in your own posts, it's your own fault.

As for the topic at hand, it depends entirely on how I want to play. Usually I want to play through the game with dialogue, so that automatically ends with a certain type of character.

People, stop spamming in this topic.
 
Awesome topic! Too bad I thought of the exact same topic a few days ago, but didnt bother to make it... :roll:

I ran into a huge problem. I once thought of making a character that instead of acting like me, was supposed to be me, but the stats didnt work out.

I ended up lowering things I was bad at and increasing my strengths and I ended up with extra character points that didnt belong.

Here;

PE: 4 (I wear glasses)
EN: 8
CH: 4 (No too social)
IN: 8
AG: 4 (Clumsy)
LK: 4 (I have bad luck)

Tag Skills: Science, Outdoorsman, Small Guns.

Traits: Kamikaze, Good Natured

As you can see I end up with two extra character points. Realistically speaking I dont deserve them. Good thing it wasnt me having to save the world or we'd all be dead.

I have no idea what my statistics would be for "me", because some of the measurements are too arbitrary for my tastes... Perception like the hairs on the back of your neck when someone is looking at you or "I have excellent hearing and vision"?

I tend to make an "intelligent killer" when I play Fallout.

but remember that perception is based on sight, hearing, smell, and the feeling-sense(wind brushes your arm, for example)
Even the eye-sight and hearing is devided. A perceptive character may be better to notice the diferances in expressions on other characters, even if he needs glasses. Even if he has a lousy hearing, he may be better than someone to notice diferences in other characters voices.

PE - 5
EN - 9
CH - 2
IN - 10
LU - 6

Gifted, Fast Shot

Taged small guns(never touched many guns, but yeah), outdoorsman(I'm an outdoorsman in reality) and doctor(not really a doctor but it's good to have and I've bandaged myself successfully countless times)

some of those isn't correct though, I'm not very lucky, but I'm more lucky than charismatic(and remember charisma doesn't just depend on how pretty your face is :wink: )
I'm not that intelligent or strong either but when I have those stat points those are the best places to put them, and I justify the strength by the fact that I'd be that strong in a wasteland enviroment. After all I've spent nearly half my life in front of a computer and still am a good 7 in reality.

I must admit that my sneak skill would also be quite high. I also have this "why do you sneak on us?" "whaa?" It?s not my fault you people are deaf!

I "sneak" around the house, sometimes even speaking to my girlfriend and then suddenly! I?m like sneaking behind her (talking, don?t forget that!) and scaring the living hell out of her. Well basically that wouldn?t be such a problem....but when she freaks out Holy mother of god I get scared when screams or jumps.

Same goes for horror movies. Nothing scary in the movie, but I get frequent heart attacks when my girlfriend jumps/screams on my lap.

"Damn woman! It?s a only a friggin movie!"

Science. Oh yes. I?m always into science. I would know enough to cause a meltdown :roll:

Lockpics. I was actually quite good at it when I was kid. I might have been bored, but I did pick locks.

Small guns. Yup, I?m a good shot. Passed the shooting test with 12/12 and got the golden medal, but anything that moves will be safe from me.

Big guns. Well I did fire a bazooka once.

Throwing. Mmm...threw a grenade once. Lived.

Outdoorsman. Hell yeah! Never been a scout (I think they are wankers), but living on the country does teach you stuff (specially If you are interested in outdoors).

Not a ood doctor, but I?m fairly good at first aid. Specially if I?m patching myself up.
