do you support a mount system for F4?

Banestalker

Wanamingo Breeder
I was wondering whether or not Fallout 4 can be modded to support having players ride mounts such as horses like Skyrim. because both games are based on the same engine and though the code strings regarding mounts may not be present I'm sure modders can juryrig/add the related strings from Skyrim once G.E.C.K is released...But I need a modder's input on this matter.

I think being able to ride Horses, Radstags, Brahmin or even Deathclaws (because...why the f not?) can be a really satisfying experience, wonder if mounted combat can also be added from Skyrim to Fallout.

I just want to drive around in the original Highwayman.
Also, some of those motorcycles look pretty fly.

Highwayman would be the dream, but it needs a vast, flat world like NV to work good if you ask me...F4 streets seems quite crowded and cramped...and the offroad is uneven and full of obstacles like trees.

are those from F3 concept art? thats interesting, never thought they considered adding something like that to the game.
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff from the concept art that never made it into the game.

Three kinds of floaters, mutant wanamingos, catfish mirelurks, weird mutant humans called abominations, giant mole rat mounts, James turned half super mutant and hooked up to an IV stand feeding him some sort of drug that was halting his transformation.

Liberty Prime was even at one point this massive gun filled war machine with a shield

Adam made lots of weird stuff that never made it into the game, sad he died of cancer, great concept artist.

Not sure if they actually considered it, there is *a lot* of concept art for F3. Their artists were really prolific when it comes to ideas. Too bad the same can't be said about their writers. :D

no wanamingos makes me a sad man indeed. :(

I'm not really against a mount system, I just wouldn't really use it. For whatever reason, in open world style RPG games I prefer to just walk everywhere. Never used a horse in Skyrim or Dragon Age: Inquisition, say.

Could always wait for the vertibird DLC, speaking of which I read up that the vertibirds use the Skyrim dragon AI so that means they do the land close to player death. If I wanted to use a mount it would be a vehicle.

Map is too small for a mount system to be worth anything.
It's supposed to be about the same size as Skyrim right? A mount could work, but I'm not sure what it would be, horses are extinct, and brahmin are so slow there wouldn't be any point. I guess they could maybe add motorcycles. Though I'd kind of just prefer something like the Highwayman that would just provide quicker fast travel, but uses MF and energy cells. Though IIRC Magnus was talking about doing something like that when the GECK comes out.

If we are going to turn Fallout into a complete Call of Duty shoot 'em up I'm in favor of putting saddles on Deathclaws and riding them around the ruins while I shoot re-spawning raiders for 100 hours with my alien blaster and board of freezing.

I'd rather they just stop writing crap stories though.

A bicycle would be nice. There isn't a lot of post-apoc that feature them, despite them being useful, easy to fix and don't need any source of energy to power it beside a good brahmin steak.

The problem is more in the fact that the map is filled to the brim with generic stuff. In Skyrim there were large swathes of fields where there was pretty much nothing but nice grass and some herbs. In F4 wherever you turn you have raiders, mutants, gunners and zombies. It doesn't really lend itself to just roaming around, because you'll get shot at all the time.
