Although discussion whether man has free will or is entirely under the influence of determinism (there is no doubt that large part of what made us and our action is purely deterministic with a large dose of uncertainty and randomness) is important to ponder whether of not we can have control over our lives and how it affect it, it would good to remember that control means the power to influence course of event, and not just the ability to choose freely or not to take an action. We may not be able to control what we do and want in our life, but we may paradoxically have control over our life without being in control of ourselves, like robot in a factory which can control their movement to build a car, but without having any influence over their will.
