Does anyone think James is the worst NPC ever?

The_Onesin

First time out of the vault
He's the character that made me thank that my dad is not a Lawful Good psychopath.

He runs away while leaving his son behind in the Vault to die, just to fulfill his fat ego. When you rescue him after all the troubles, he lectures you instead and forces you to work on project Purity (literally forced). And at the end he sacrifices to save you?

The hell is this? Then why teh fuck did he left you to die in Vault for first place if he was determined to sacrifice you for his big-cock ego?

This NPC is so absurdly designed that its not funny.

shhh shhh, we don't want to attract Liam Neeson's attention. He WILL find us and he WILL kill us.

I agree, I double-hated that guy, or triple, I don't particularily like Liam Neeson, dunno why, I also don't like his voice, so knowing it's him - and then only get his voice-work was annoying enough.
Then for it to be this douchy run-off-and-save-the-world moron, some of the first things going through my mind when "Dad" ran out of the vault was
1. how didn't they just run after him?
2. how fast does this guy even run?
3. dodging bullets?
4. zoom, out of the vault, and then GONE!?

How long did I sleep!?

Like, if you RUN after him - in a matter of HOURS he has sprinted to Megaton - in his doctors coat - traded, drunk, chatted, left businesscards, fucked whores, he has been all over the place, OFF to Rivet City like the Wind of Invulnerability, what does he even need me for? He could just run through the whole map and just dodge everything to death and install the purifyer himself - but no
no.
He turns into a dog.

Also he just abandoned their project to throw pure water intpo the Ocean because.... uhmm....? I mean he also arbitrarily decides to go back to it, even though he just left you to your luck in the vault with the overseer that hates you. If he wanted the kid safe he aparently had dealings and good relation with the Shinning Knighst of the round table so why even travel half of the map to some Vault? James seems to have some rather retarded leaps in logic.

What I'd like to know is what he thought he'd accomplish by installing a security system that would turn the central nexus of his water purifier into the second or third most radioactive thing in the entire Capitol Wasteland. James and Leukemia probably kill more people in the long run than the Enclave would've if he'd just let them infect the water supply when they got there.

Don't you know? Black Isle didn't, but Bethesda knows machinery in the fallout universe run on green. That stuff blows out, and it's radioactive.

Is it bad I had no idea who you were talking about until the comments?

James was an alright guy, but he killed himself for no [good?] reason so that sorta pisses me off. He also made quite a few dumbass decisions along thre way.

Alright, but when Rhaz Al Ghoul catches you criticizing his career, I wasn't here. Even though Beth has horrible writers and they are to blame
