Duck and Cover reports FOOL case has been settled

Duck and Cover is reporting the FOOL case has been settled, apparently since the very first days of the trial, and they received word weeks ago. Curse and Wikia's Fallout wikis, despite usually getting the same news DaC does, are not reporting any such thing, and Raging Bull's stockholder forum makes no mention of it, so take this with a grain of salt for now. We'll keep you posted as updates come in.

EDIT: Ausir confirms, so consider is confirmed. Details to be revealed later this month.
 
My guess is that Bethesda's settlement offer looks something like this:

Well, I've posted about it at The Vault too. Credited DAC at first, but the usual sources also confirm it.
 
Well, at this point I'm curious what kind of settlement they have reached. Have to say, either way that's a relief, this legal-thingie had gotten pretty tiring.
 
Yeah, just glad it's over, mostly, settlement should've happened much earlier. We'll see what it contains later.

Cool. DaC grew a bit of a habit of misreporting/misreading this stuff so I couldn't really consider it confirmed with just them as a source.

You can give the F5 key a break for now. We won't hear about the results from the settlement until later on this month I believe.
 
i just hope that this settlement will make the game prosper once again, i don't give much attention to who won the bigger slice of the post nuclear cake called fallout, both companies worked hard in their projects and both contributed greatly for the development of this game ... everyone loses with this "fool suit" but none above (least emotionally) than the fallout fans ...
 
Is it possible that Bethesda will pay out Interplay's fees?

Or Interplay gets bought by Bethesda under the settlement agreement?

I hope the latter does not occur. I really would like to hear what's going on. I'd like to see Bethesda take a huge loss from this if possible.

Oh well, I'll keep checking in, once in a while.

I don't think a purchase is likely since it would cost Bethesda quite a bit of money and I doubt Interplay really has much that they would want.

It's possible that fees could be negotiated depending on what the two parties decide upon since they basically have to work out a deal on their own versus.
