Has anyone brought this up before? Almost all enclave soldiers in power armor are female. Damn, even the drill sargent who seems to have a male voice is actually a female. There are soo few male power armor solders that it gets dumb. Was the female model quicker to access or what?

Pffft, once you elimenate physical strength by ways of powered armour, there's no reason to consider men and women equal. Women are better, in that scenario...Ehehehe.
I never noticed it before, but now that i look, (Playing FO2 again!) Your actually right. The drill sargent is female also? Surprising seen as though she seems so so so.....well, big marcho guy in steal power armour! Taken orders from the drill sargent suddenly doesnt seem that bad!
Could it be that the Enclave soldiers are Amazons (female warriors) and the scientists are mostly, if not all, males? Perhaps this is the best way to reproduce the species while keeping a pure strain of humanity? Seems like a good fantasy to me!

Might simply be that the PA distorts the voice. Anyway, seeing that the Enclave has a limited population to recruit soldiers from, it stands to reason that women would get enlisted as well. Especially with the APA that makes them equals when it comes to physique. They say that women generally are better at handling cramped spaces as well (which is why they would make ideal submariners), and I can't think of a place more cramped than an APA.

I think it's a goof on the programmers' parts as well, which is understandeable considering you place them with the critters function in the mapper, and they look JUST like the guys.

To avoid conflicts created by anti-authoritarians within the Enclave, they also give each female unit a voice distortion device so they sound like a big rugged male soldier and order everyone around.
Joke aside...The ideal man to woman ratio would be like 1:8.
I mean just look at lion packs..only one male needed to preserve the species you-know-what-I-mean
Btw that vault with only one guy(can't remember number) I think he would be torn apart pretty quick by frenzied women. Or imagine if he did get any children, the genepool would be so shallow that everyone would be half siblings and eventually you'd see some mutations without actually having released any FEV

And did it occur to you, that the guard refers to the base commander as "old man" and you adress him as "sir"? Clearly a fault of the programmers. ....Maybe someone ought to create a MaleChauvinistPig mod to restore the proper state of matters
