I still dont see wht people hated FOT so much other than for the fact it wasnt FO3.
Aside from the fact that it wasnt a RPG
or that its makers were total fucktards when it came to the 50'sish atmosphere of the previous 2 fallouts (or lackthereof of an attempt to implement said atmosphere.)
and that you had 3 mission types- Kill everything, rescue someone/steal something/ or a combination of the two,
and the fact that you couldnt wander somewhat at will exploring as you do your mission (well, you can but you wont find anything)
and that you cant have true dialouge trees
aside from all that, it was a good game.
It just should NOT have been a fallout game. As it's pathetic attempts to fit in FO were more feeble than Herve's buisness savy.
I might come off a little bitter, but keep in mind that I got the game before I got a net connection, (which would have enabled me to findout it wasnt a new FO RPG that I so despreatly wanted) I spent over a year searching far and wide at every store I could think of that would have computer games for tactics, simply because of the fallout name.
It was a disapointment, at best.
Yes, you can have fun just killing things, but the fact is that sometimes FO is the funist when you dont kill a damned thing and do it your way, not the dungeon crawler way
