Fallout 1-2, areas which are tedious or overly long.

I agree with this...Once you get past the first three areas, you're strong enough to stomp most stuff, even more-so if you loot the toxic cave vault.

The start of fallout games is always much more fun and difficult, shame it gets exponentially easier with each armour upgrade.

I think the STALKER franchise does a good job at keeping enemies tough without gross stat bloats.
It's the areas themselves that bore me, personally. There's only so many ways you can do things up until you rescue Vic and make him spill the beans. After that point it feels like a much more open game, imo.

You don't have to do Vic right away, you can run around to Vault city early, broken hills, etc.

Fallout 2 gets way to easy around NCR. And yeah Stalker is great at being "hard" even vs early enemies.

Untill you get the exo that is.

Very true, but it's just a pain in the ass to run all the way back.

My tip is to rush getting the Highwayman, once you get that beast, the game becomes MUCH less annoying.

No more waiting damned minutes to get across the map.

The Highwayman is an amazing mechanic which to me, is the perfect example of an item being 'hard to get' (due to the parts needed it can take some time), but is FAIR to get (You can get those parts any way you wish), and is WORTH IT.
