Fallout 1.5: Resurrection

From what can be seen, the core mechanic wasn't changed much, only Barter button got deleted, so barter only through dialogs.

As far as I remember charisma is still used to determine the number of companions. And good thing is that you can complete the game with a dumb character (less than 4 int) and you get hilarious dialogue just like in F1 and F2.

Thanks for the hard work Fallout 1.5: Resurrection team :ok:.
Will be downloading and trying it out soon. :-D

The writing so far (sitting at Rat Hole) isn't much promising, you can answer either nice or rude and that's about it on main character. And dare to say, the filthy language is a bit overused and looks childish to me rather than harsh.

Oh, great, stumbled across a crash, tried to open the bag doctor give me in barter menu.

Thank you, found it already, but still thank you :)

I actually missed that part of the map entirely during first visits, thought it was only the Hunters compound.

What peaceful solutions available in 1.5 Resurrection?

Oh, BTW, if I bring the sheriff's kid to surgeon in Dead Quarter, will it work as a donor?

Getting closer to the end. Disliked the writing but damn, Darnus is well written super mutant here. Huge props for a guy responsible for him.

I'm near the end of Resurrection, so I'll try to answer: it is very good. It's harder than two first Fallouts because of the high skillchecks and the fact that even simple raiders can deal like 15-20 damage per turn. It also has nice c&c - forget about working for several sides of conflict at the same time (New Reno heh), it's not doable. Companions are fun, they react on various situations and the player can ask them to get their opinion on something. It has many great new weapons & weapon modifications system. For me Resurrection Team succeeded with resurrecting the atmosphere of first Fallout; world is bleak and unforgiving. They hunt you from the start, but maybe the roles will reverse and you will find fun in killing sect ghouls and taking their medalions? Or not...
Very, very good mod - I'm not a native english speaker so I won't judge the translation - let's just say I'm going to bed late.

They are quite useful too, aside of armed support in fights. For example:
I visited every shop with Keri after finding out that she's decreasing prices in my favor. Saved a couple of thousands caps on books thanks to her. Or Lystra with amazing healing skills, got healed from almost dead condition to full HP many times after providing her with first aid kits.

It has many great new weapons & weapon modifications system.
Pistol with sweet artwork from @Continuum is my favorite one, hands down. Very appropriate lore-wise, with great range and accuracy, available relatively early to have a lot of fun with it.

I think I just screwed myself :lmao:.
I arrived at Albuquerque and talked with the Mutant Hunter at the entrance. He recognized the medallion and told me to go to their HQ to get a reward. I did so and after I talked to the guy there I found out tha twith 10 I would be able to join the Hunters. I wanted info on the medallion so I did so. I got the quests so I could get approved into joining. I did the quest of patrolling with the entrance guy and killed some ghouls. Then I had to find out how to enter the Empire.
After I got into the Empire I tried looking for the pistol. Couldn't find it. So I did quests there and found that Chuck seems to have a pistol. Couldn't buy it because I lacked the caps by lots. Went and did more quests for the Empire to get some caps.
Was sent to Chuck because of a quest, killed Chuck because I couldn't tolerate what he was doing (darn I forgot to buy the pistol and the Combat Armor too). Got Lystra as a companion and left Mutt in the empire. Did more missions for the Empire and helped get rid of Anonym and put the bald guy in power.
Later I talked with Lystra and found out she would leave me if I joined the Hunters. I like Lystra (I only found Lystra and Mutt for companions yet) so I went to the Hunters and said I didn't want to join anymore, they said ok to that.
Went and found out what happened to Lystra's brother. Came back to Albuquerque and got a message from teh empire saying that since I applied to join the Hunters I wouldn't get any jobs from it anymore...
Now I can't help the empire anymore. I killed Chuck so I can't get the pistol to join the Hunters. I hunted with the Tribals a few times so I can't join the guys that gather "material" for the hospital. Killed the tribal that had a mutation because the Hunters asked me to do it when I was trying to join them so I can't hunt with the Tribals anymore...
I am screwed, and I really wanted to keep helping the Empire, but apparently even if I quit trying to join the Hunters before I got the message, it doesn't matter and the message is always the same "You wanted to join the Hunters. No jobs for you.".
Also I play with a unarmed character with charisma 2 and the game is unforgivable... I can only have one companion and with enemies dealing 20+ damage with each shot before I get even close to one and being 5 or 6 of them... I am dead in one turn or two even though I have 148 HP and wear a Metal Armor :lmao:. Seems like weapons are dealing a lot more damage than in the vanilla game, but it doesn't seems like the unarmed weapons got any damage boost  at least I am walking around punching people with a Power Fist, 122 Unarmed Skill, 10 STR and 3 ranks of Bonus HtH Damage and usually deal around 15-25 damage per attack.
But anyway, I am loving playing it, screwed or not. :ok:

I had to run it as an administrator but yeah it works.

Read this. You will need to properly set up the ini file and rename resdata to data, make a copy of fores.dat, rename the copy to patch000.dat, do the cheat and rename it back.

But OFC the game is better without cheating .-)
Wait what INI file do I set uo, and how do I?
Cause the date slot and skill slots I'm just seeing some missing text error.
Fixed the text error by copying the file from my steam install, still can't edit my character, stats come as zero and inventory is empty.
If use the res config then the data error comes back. But maybe I'm supposed to use it. Man I'm confused.

The steps:
1. Create a DATA folder in your Resurrection folder.
2. Copy resdata\SAVEGAME to DATA.
3. Make a copy of fores.cfg and rename it to fallout2.cfg.
4. Make a copy of fores.dat and rename it to patch000.dat.
5. Copy fallout2.exe from your FO2 (UP or RP) to Resurrection folder, or make a copy of FALLOUT2 (no extension) in Resurrection folder and add .exe extension to it.
6. Open F12se and set the path in File -> Settings (you can press F12) to your Resurrection folder, done.

Just remember to copy your edited save slot back to resdata\SAVEGAME.

Does anyone know which dat file is used for things like items in Fallout Resurrection? I tried to change some minor things in f2wedit and I save the changes. Load up the game and the items I tried to change aren't any different, it doesn't seem to be the master.dat of the main install.

@NovaRain thank you

Resurrection puts its files in fores.dat. The launcher you use to start the game works as a loader. It applies memory hacks (similar to how sfall works) and makes the game treat fores.dat in the same way as patch000.dat.
