Fallout 1 mod for fallout New Vegas

Great Nate
So I don't know if anyone has seen this but I was looking at mods when I found this mod for Fallout New Vegas where they tried to remake Fallout 1 in the Fallout New Vegas engine which sounded pretty cool for people who don't like the turn based combat. The only thing is they stopped working on it and it's abandoned now for some reason. I wish someone would finish this because it would had been fun to see Fallout 1 in first person.

IIt's a neat Idea on paper but it can't be done. Fallout 1's world is too big :/. The world is explored differently because of how big it is.

It'z ded. The only team alive is Molten Clouds, they're busy on Fallout 2, though.

Perfectly doable, with original travelling system too.

They made a traveling system similar to the classic games. Where you travel over a map.

The project went quite well for years, but they were always a small team and never got many people interested in it, so with time they stopped having time due to RL or became unmotivated, so in the end there wasn't enough people to finish it anymore.

sad that the project was dumped to vats , imo thats how new vegas should have been ...

Holy crap, that travel map looks interesting. But could they just do it with the Pip Boy map? Each area would have borders and you could fast travel to get out of there.

I don't understand. You're asking if they could just have fast travel like in FO3 and FNV (you go to your pipboy map and click on the place you want to insta-travel to)?
How would you be able to find the place to fast travel to if you haven't been there yet?
Also the project was to remake Fallout 1 in the New Vegas engine, but Fallout 1 doesn't have fast travel. It would be a very sucky remake if they removed the iconic traveling system :aiee:.

Oh, sorry, didn't realize that stuff.

I've seen it and was surprised I'd actually like to play it. It nails the atmosphere scary well. It's certainly more atmospheric than "Fallout 4: Ripping Off The New Vegas Factions: The Game."

Wish someone did they opposite: Fallout: New Vegas on Fallout 2 engine. The hardest part would be getting the "pixel art" done right, as well as the talking heads (if any). Else I imagine it would feel extremely good, and modders could also be able to expand on the existing content of the game to add more solutions to some quests and new places to explore, not to mention fully flesh out Caesar's Legion.
