Fallout 1 radiation The Glow

That's weird...


When charisma reaches 0, that's suppose to kill you as well. Although I don't see why it should, I mean do you die by being extremely ugly?
 
Well charisma drops when you get the "Skin is falling off message." And if your skin falls off... well your going to be pretty damn ugly, and skinless.
 
Yep Ive fallen into the same trap. Editing the dat file and constantly healing myself after seems too much effort for me though..

Lucky i have earlier saves so it may just be quicker to redo the section.

What you think guys? Edit or redo.
 
Well its my first time playing fallout too, and well I went to the glow and notice that I am dieing from radiation poisoning, I been taking thos Radaway but they been useless. So I looked for a walkthu guide on gamefaqs and it said I needed to use RadX and it can been bought from hub.

I been looking all over hub and I cant find one person that even sells it. I went up to junktown and check the medical man and the General store there too but to no avail.

so my question is.... where do I find RadX O_O where can I get it ?

Did you start over from an earlier save? Because otherwise, Rad-X won't help you more than RadAway once you're radiated.

To find Rad-X in the Hub, go to the east part of town, then head as far east as you can.
 
yeah I did. the crzy thing is..... I been reading walkthu guides and stuff and the guys that sell RadX, I killed. If ima right they r the guys near Jake ? and with the sledge hammers. I been back search the armor and stuffthey left one the ground but I found no RadX, I been searching venders if I had looted the Rad X and sold it, but all the venders I been checking dont have it. so I dont think I looted it. so I guess ima scrwed. Those guys attacked me, I acted in self defence, and I was under the impression they were gangters so I didnt really care.

but now my game is hinded becaue of it ?. Ima going to go as far as I can go, then just move on to FO2. Dont really feel like restarting the whole game again just because I cant get any radx from someone else, I got a few radaways, but those dont seem to work

There's probably going to be a few more places that carry Rad-X further into the game.

Also realise that visiting the Glow is in no way necessary to complete the game.
 
yeah, I stumbled on some radx today when I was alking the the followers of children or something. Was starting to get frustrated becaue the guide was saying they were at the general store or near Jake.

No. The guard next to Cabbot gives you Rad-X if your IN is lower than 4.
 
there's a way out

Hello everybody,

this afternoon i had to find a way to solve di Rad-x problem ( i have saved all the slots in Glow :clap: :clap: )

follow this steps to survive radiations:

first of all you need this two programs:
- charatcter trainer (FALCHE)
- item changer (falled109)

when you are approaching the world map outside glow:

- louch falled109, transform a stim-pack to 100 RadAway. Use all the radway(less 1) and loop this operation until the Gaiger shows 0rad. ( or use at least 300radaways)

- use about 10 rad-x (until they do no more effetcs). (they can be created with Falled109)

- save&close the match

- open with Falche the save.dat file of the match and:

--change all the stats to 10 (if you want you can draw down the originals one)
-- add perks Rad resistance (I used level 20..it works)
--exit

- lounch the match & verify that all the stats are set to 10.
- use othe rad-away
- full your healt
- try to traver someware on the map closest to you positions: your stat will decrease a lot.
if you survive make another trip but loger: you will be interrupted a lot of time during the yourney, will appear some notes that say that you are hill and so on..after some day-travel everything should be fine (your stats come back to 10)...

- save and if you want restore the original state with Falche. I have manteined the level20 perk for the rad-resistance for any kind of problem^^

All of that isn't necessary. As stated earlier in the thread, the cause of death is stats dropping to 0, so raising your Rad Resistance after you have already been exposed to radiation is irrelevant. Also using Radaway to lower your total rad count only serves to prevent radiation death from happening again in the future.

I just bought the original fallout 1 and I too am stuck at dayglow. I have flache but I need to ask two things. I need the link to the inventory editor mod and is there away to go rid of radiation poisoning in a character editor mod?

Always take 2 radX before entering.
