Well in that case, nevermind then.

When the new version is ready, we can just install it over the previous right?
I think I read last night that areas we had already visited in our current game would not be fixed unless we restart, right?

You can overwrite version 1.0 just fine. And yes, somes areas you have already been too (such as EPA, New Reno) will not be updated unless you reenter the location for the first time.

I don't know if someone has already talked about this but...

It seems that the Chosen One has a very high pilot skill or something. :)

Is the Den one of these areas?

Only the residential area.

@Azrael-Arkangel
Heh, yeah that is also fixed in the update.

Is the residential the one with the Slavers Guild? I can't remember. I made a save game just as I entered the Den, so I hope to continue from there, instead of having to run through that damn Temple again. Arroyo and Klamath have become somewhat boring after maybe 10-20 playthroughs :roll:

The "Den residential area" is one of the new locations.

Has anyone else experienced horrible graphic colour quality (similar to starting fallout in 256 colours) after installing the expansion? It's really mood killing :(

I was able to resolve these issues here by editing the ddraw.ini. It worked here to set line 42 of it to:
Code:
Mode=4

Hope that works for you as well :-)

Thank you, it did. Although, the animations are kind of partially blurry now, but that is of less importance. Thanks again :)

Well, this is one of the things that should finally be addressed in the update. Timeslip has come up with something that should be consistent on all machines.
Did I read it right? The same speed and encounter rate regardless of the PC?

This is likely from the AP damage fix mod part of the install (you probably clicked it when installing, like I did).
To test, edit the ddraw.ini file and go to the end and change DamageFormula=1 to DamageFormula=0 and see if that fixes.

I have the same problem with Magnum 44 and game crashing and I dont have any DamageFormula in ddraw.ini file. Any comments, ideas what to do?

Error Messages and Crashes

Hi
I installed your mod to my german Version of Fallout 2 (because I don`t have an english one). The Problem ist that I always geht an Error Message (GDialog Error Grabbing text Message) that takes me to Desktop when klicking "ok" when I talk to a NPC you added to the game (example the new location at the Coast south west of Klamath) also all texts, when NPCs talk appear as an "Error" speak String. :(
I`m not sure if the Problem is the German Version of the Game or something else. I installed the mod with the Installer (including and although excluding extra content) and tried it manually. Always the same Problem.
Hope there is an solution for the Problem because I love Fallout and was overjoyed when I heared this mod to come out.

Hey,

when I give the guy in the village near vault city the weapons he requested my screen goes blank and I need to clos fo through the task manager.

btw where do i have to search for whomever is controlling the rats?

*edit: bug with the ranger quest in ncr. the tell me to attack the slaver camp where sulik's sister was held. i get there and all the slavers are dead because i killed them earlier and therefor i cannot complete the quest...

Did you use the installer that had the FO1 ammo sounds?

1.1 Release is imminent.

The Den:

# When Metzger tells you about the holding pens to the southwest, you're given two dialogue options, but they're identical. The choice starts with "Southwest of here, huh?..."

They're not identical. :wink:

Read the forum, fellas...... just reinstall the thing w/out them and ammo packs. worked for other people, should work for you as well.
