Holy %¨@#... i am very very very late for the party, anyway: THANKS KILLAP FOR EVERYTHING! YOU THE MAN! ROCK ON! 8-)
Hey, no problem. As I (and a few others have said), I'd suggest holding off starting to play until 2.1 is released. It should be ready by the end of the month. And no, it won't be epically delayed like 2.0 was.

OK, I have absolutely no clue what to do in the EPA. Can anyone help? alls I did so far was disable the magnetic coils. that's it.

Then the holograms should no longer be stuck in a loop, so you'll be able to speak to them and they'll give you some quests.
I did that, but the only quest I knew how to do was the greenhouse one, but that was because Cassidy was hellbent on killing all plants in the area. I can't find anything else related to the quests.

The walkthrough below is for the 'old' EPA but I guess it can still be of use:

Thanks, but ti didnt help much :(

Quick question: When I load up the game now, it tells me there is a new version of sfall available. Should I dl it?

No, there is no reason to update. If you are annoyed by seeing it, you can always disable the update check in ddraw.ini

I had nearly the same problem as i arrived at the EPA.
The solutions are not exactly the same as in the walkthrough from "Morticia" but after i ve read them it was possible to continue and solving all quests
The generator you have to repair for switching on the lights is in the level with the vent.

I can't find it though. I clicked on every generator, and the only one I could get to said there was nothing I could do about it

Oh.. i see..you have to attach a rope on the open elevator to get down to the other level and don´t forget to take the the "metal pole" from a locker in the building outside...

Yeah, there was a single shed full of unusual items just outside the main building, so I took everything in it, including relatively common things like rope. I hate to say it, but conspicuous, 'suspiciously convenient' item placement doesn't seem consistent with the rest of the Fallout 2's design and it momentarily broke the illusion for me that this was connected to the rest. It's obviously as trivial a gripe as there might ever be, though.

Also... I'm still getting crashed to desktop when highlighting Kaga with the combat cursor, so if anyone could help me figure out how to solve the problem, I'd appreciate it. I'm level 23, so it should be the encounter that corresponds to my level. I certainly regret letting him live earlier (he is perhaps too easy to kill early on...).

Will 2.0x savegames be usable with 2.1?

Yes, 2.0 saves will work with 2.1. However, any map changes will not take affect unless you enter the location for the first time. Every map has been modified, so it is recommended to start a new game, but in no way required.

Sorry, missed that one. I presume there will be a list of changes? Also, what constitutes as a new map? Different parts of the same area (for instance, levels 2 and 3 of Vault 13) or completely different locations (vault 13 and vault 15)?

I don´t think this is related to the RP but when i got my upgrade to strength at SF in the suspension tank from 6 to 7 means i can carry now 140 lbs as i could before 125 (without APA) but now when i put on the APA i loose 10 lbs compaired to 225 lbs before the upgrade?

Any hints...? :o

P.S. Why my NPC´S aren´t healing during the time in the suspension tank...just a suggestion for future realeases...

In general different locations. Each map can have up to 3 elevations e.g. - New Reno (NEWR1.MAP) – Which is the first New Reno screen when you enter the city. Elevation 1 is the main street, elevation 2 is the basement with Floyd, and elevation 3 is the top of the casino with Big Jesus. Some maps will separate some of the locations, such as Bishops basement, which uses its own map, that’s because the other 3 elevations in NEWR2.MAP are used with the main street (Bishops Casino – ground floor, boxing ring, etc); second level of Bishops and Salvatore rooms, and finally Bishops top floors, with the pool and bedrooms.

So sometimes to overcome maps issues you really need to start an entire town from scratch.

Was the save file problem ever fixed?

I clean installed fallout 2 and installed restoration 2.0 with the updates but I can't save(Get some error).

I got windows 7.

hmm, I can't seem to be able to go back up a ladder after I come down. Is anyone else having this problem, or know what I'm doing wrong?...

Hi, finished the game a few days ago, very little bugs, really enjoyed it, nice work killap.

Mostly crashes after explosions, I guess it's related to sfall. Just one broken quest, but I am not sure, the one at the Abbey, one of the priests asks for informations about botanics, I found the holodisk, talked to the guy, he thanked me but I still have the holodisk in the inventory and the quest is still active. Do I need others items to complete the quest?

And I was wondering if the multilanguage support will be available with the next release.

[spoiler:c5216b3a10]Dude, everything is all right - you must upload this holodisk manually. First, you need acces card to this computer. If you have it, then simply use computer (with "hand icon" action); dialog window will appear. Through this dialog you may upload EPA holodisk to the computer.[/spoiler:c5216b3a10]

Not with 2.1, but it will in 2.2.

Here's a rough idea of what I have planned for the RP:

2.1 => many bug fixes and minor content additions.
2.2 => multilingual support back (French, German, Polish, and hopefully finally Russian); remaining bug fixes; new additions to the extras section of the installer (food, sleep, etc).
