So how do you get all 3 companions from the EPA? I thought you could only bring one out of they cryogenic chambers?

I always choose Cat, but if I could pick all 3 (just to free them from such a hell for roleplaying purposes) - I would.
 
The mod's readme says:

Yes, but in the EPA you can only revive one companion. Changing whether they can be recruited or not after the fact doesn't matter if you can't interact with them in the first place.
 
Actually, there's a way to get all three with a little cheat involved. Use the F2SE editor and triple the amount of ERSI canisters you have and that will work. I've done this recently, in fact.
 
Ah. So I can just drop a few ERSI canisters in the mapper? Does that work as well?

I like having a squad with me. I don't really like how Charisma is linked to recruitment, especially considering these guys would rather just sit underground, with no weapons, by themselves, surrounded by highly dangerous predators (wanamingos). Doesn't make sense to turn my offer down because I have "too big of a crowd."
 
I don't know anything about the mapper, I can't get it to work because of some weird issue I have. It says something like was expecting US version of Fallout 2 (or whatever it said, I forgot now) and couldn't get it to load. This was confusing because I live in the US and I don't have an imported copy of Fallout 2, as far as I know. I suppose it might work, if anything else does that's added with the mapper, but not sure.

Yeah, that Charisma thing is a pain in the arse.
 
Man I remember the mapper being a pain in the ass to get to work properly. But it's been working well for me for a few years now. I wish I had some pointers to help you out, but it's been too long since I had to troubleshoot it.

I do wish Charisma did something else useful though. It's just too much of a dump stat, even with the economy rebalance mod.
 
Endocore posted instructions on how to install it without all of that excess crap that came with it to do so that wasn't necessary and it made more sense. Before that, the thing would just crash on open. I followed the instructions and it actually didn't crash, but it had that issue about some US version thing. I guess I'm not just meant to use the damned thing. :razz:

You know, I had a similar issue years ago with something either related to sfall and I believe the Restoration Project. I tried to use a newer version of sfall that had some new features and it did that. There wasn't anything I could do about it until Killap put out a newer version of RP that also included the newer version of sfall. I couldn't post anything about it, because they didn't allow anyone to register on the site using Gmail or other accounts until I guess some time in the past couple of years. I tried to join as far back as 2003, when I found this place, but no dice. I guess they did that to cut down on spam.
 
I wasn't sure where to ask this: is Version 5 meant to work with RP 2.3.3?

Edit: Seems to work with 2.3.3 after a second install and testing. I assume it didn't work at first because I didn't throw it in the folders as written in the readme :P

My mod is very ambvivalent about other mods (except that it requires either killap's patch or RP). Specific versions don't really matter.
Updated to version 6 today, fixed a bug when companions won't join a CHA 1 character (an artifact of me always playing Gifted dudes). Let me know if you have any issues.
 
I cannot seem to get it to work. I have done a fresh install, then the 2.33 RP, then the economy mod, them the unlimited mod. It does change the files, but in game none of my companions will join over the limit. Which is very odd because a week ago with my old install it worked just fine. then i messed up trying to get one of the miria mods working, so i reinstalled, and now it is borked.
 
It was the same saves, but after another complete reinstall it seemed to work fine, And then trying to get the companion control from sfall borked. And trying to put sfall 6.7 really borked it. I am just gonna hafta wipe the whole damn thing and start from scratch.
I think i know what to do to have a decent maria and unlimited, I just wish I could get the companion control, cause man are they crappy at combat. especially since they are so bad i will never give them burst weapons, which in the early mid game seems to gimp them somewhat.
 
Theoretically, they should all work fine together. If you manage to find a reproducible case of Unlimited party not working - let me know, and I'll look into that.
 
is there a specific install order for all of these mods? I found last time i got the unlimited to work it was because i installed it after the game, but before the RP or the miria or economy mods. But then the sfall 3.6 7? was giving me the big red text in game about the ddraw.ini, and when i used the old RP ini, but with the extra bit at the bottom about companion combat it broke my game completely. Game kept crashing,
