Its a qoute from Emil about beating the game without killing anyone:

Eh? He specifically says you can go through "much" but not all of the game without killing anyone. He certainly doesn't say you can finish all quests by doing so

Heck, it'd be silly if you could. It's a dog-eat-dog world, if you were a pacifist in Fallout you'd simply have to skip the fights with Gizmo and Deckard, quest-related though they be.

PS: Disraeli was, indeed, greatness

There was another quote where it was something like:

"Just last week one of the guys managed to beat the game with only killing one _____"

Something like that, I forgot what the thing was, probably something in the tutorial. Emil wrote that, it was on the forums.

No, Pete said that.

Neither quote is an indication of you being able to finish all quests without violence, tho'

Ah right, too many quotes I get mixed up who said what.

Yes it may not be a perfect indicator, but that's all we've got. I try to be optimistic about such things.

EDIT: But yeah, if I can make it through half of Metal Gear Solid 4 on hard without having to engage in non boss related combat, the average gamer outta be able to avoid random encounters with enemies by taking their time and not running around half hazardly.

Yes, I can see the point if he was in a hurry and wanting to try stuff out, but if he wasn't trying to sneak around and avoid combat with the random spawns, then I think it is misleading for him to say it is not viable.

Apples and oranges friend. MGS is a sneaking game, with a heavy emphasis on stealth. FO isn't.
