Fallout 3 cancelled in India

India didn't "prohibit Fallout" as far as I know.

However, I don't really see the logic in "if someone's restricting freedom of speech they have a moral right to restrict more of it".

In India

publishing cartoons on Muhammad-prohibited

publishing articles criticizing Christ and christianity-prohibited

India has moral rights to prohibit Fallout.

In the US thoes can and do fall under the "hate crimes" banner. . .

Granted if they actualy charge anyone with a hatecrime it often ends up being a "giveaway" charge in pleabarganing

Imagine yourself as an Indian of hindu creed, you and 83% hindu India are been continually bombarded by news stating something like "Hinduism is inferior, it promotes caste system....", government protects the religious rights of 13% muslims and 1,8% christians, yet the rest of India has to put up with hindu bashing. Finally, if India prohibits anti-muslim and anti-christian sentiment than it is only logical they prevent anti-hindu sentiment and bashing, even if it is something as benign as Fallout.

It's the cows.

It's illegal to kill cows in India, they are revered and often wander the streets of cities, and have the right of way in traffic.

So much as we have people freaking out about games like Fable or Oblivion having killable children and yadda yadda, evil games, you're going to have people in India freaking out about killable cows in a game.

I doubt naming them Brahmin helped much either.
