No version online as far as I can see, but the Vault notes patch 1.4 has hit the Microsoft Live systems. Announcement.
Today a new update (v1.4.0.6) is available on Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows LIVEUpdate 1.4 Notes (PC and Xbox 360).

It's a small update in preparation for the game's second DLC, The Pitt, which is slated for release this month.

New Features

* New achievements for The Pitt
* Support for multiple downloadable content
It also unlocks Operation: Anchorage for gamers in Asia.

EDIT: the patch is now available for regular download. Grab it from our fileservers: US, UK, French and German.

Btw. where is the change log?

btw. where is the patch?

I have no idea what this is? Patch 1.4 only through Live and without patch 1.2 or patch 1.3? If it weren't the Vault/Ausir I'd have said it's bullshit. Let us wait for a real release.

Yup, it's real, but Live only for now. The previous patch was also on Live with no changelog first.

EDIT:

Good to seem them addressing the bugs in the game, and not just trying to milk the DLC for all it's worth.

Oh wait...

Exactly what I was about to say.

I though patches were supposed to fix bugs? Oh, maybe they made 1.2 and 1.3 and then decided that bug-fixing patches were to tedious for casual gamers, and broke immersion?

That's what modders are for in Bethesda's business model. Any programmers that can fix bugs are working on Elder Scrolls 5 already. And any scripters that can fix bugs are working on the Pitt DLC.

So we're getting a new weapon (other than the Autoaxe) - the Infiltrator - a scoped and silenced assault rifle. I wonder if it will be anything like the scoped and/or silenced assault rifles that modders have been making for months?

Ten buck for the Pitt or nothing for this lovely piece of modding awesomeness?

I am pretty sure that any high powered ballistic rifle would be somewhat futile to try to silence, since any object moving through air faster than the speed of sound would create a sonic boom or a N-wave effectively giving off sound over the course of the projectiles path. So either this is supposed to be a sniper rifle with a sub-sonic muzzle velocity or they don't know jack about guns or science.

Gun thread hijack!

AFAIK, there are a few silenced assault rifles that make use of sub-sonic ammunition. Not effective at ranges that would require a powerful scope, tho'.

Does this patch improve animations, combat, adds better dialogs, characters? Changes game's story line into something good not pathetic? Changes FPP into ISO view nad real time combat into TB combat, without slo-mo effects??

Is yes, then please call me. I'll be in my office...
