Fallout 3 pirated, videos spread

Age of Decadence ? Afterfall ?

Eschalon: Book II? Geneforge 5? Frayed Knights? Scars of War? Cyclopean? ITS Unnamed Project?

Man the indie RPG genre is thriving. If AoD is the success we all hope it is, it should rocket up.

The Dark Alliance games are probably a better bet. Unless you absolutely positively have to see F:BOS, which is understandable.
As I said, it looks worse than the game that I played that I only enjoyed because it was multiplayer so even when I was frequently playing four player games it wasn't appealing enough to warrant more than a look and some question of whether a game worse than what we were playing would be fun purely because it was different.

I think that Dragon Age: Origins looks promising as well and it's not an indie. That said, it's also to early to make any call on it and it seems to have a fairly linear story ala Bioware's norm (though I'm futilely hoping they make it variable) so it's likely to offer less freedom (hence less roleplaying) than the indie titles.

Agreed, as this is going to be a kickoff for the eventual full transition for the serious to become purely mindless shooters.

You played Hinterland by any chance, Brother None? Been on the fence about it, and with only one actual review up for it that I've seen I've been skulking forums to try to make up my mind.

Unfortunately it doesn't sound as good as Majesty most likely, which was what I was hoping for.

Ah, thanks! Pretty good review. Does sound like it's worth waiting a while to see if they expand it some in patches, or if Steam does a deal on it for $10 or something. Sounds a bit iffy at $20.

Kinda disappointing since in previews and such they mentioned roguelike games as being a source of inspiration, but then didn't give it the depth of randomization to make replaying more interesting. Damn.
