Fallout 3 Post-Apocalyptic Film Festival

Fits better than Twelve Monkeys.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty much my favorite movie besides The Big Lebowski, but it doesn't really fit.
The original french one would however, seeing as the original Fallout intro sequences were pretty 'inspired' by that one.

You have a point. You also remind me that Twelve Monkeys was a remake(?). Is the original worth seeing?

I think it's a cute idea, really. Not sure of the point, but any additional PA film festival is a good PA film festival, even if their selection isn't too strong.

iirc, it was inspired by some frnechie short movie.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Jetée

that movie is on youtube, tho i am unsure of its copyrights.

La Jetée is still available on DVD, so I am pretty sure it should not be freely viewable.

That said, it's a brilliant film, fascinating to see its unique use of still images, and the plot is really quite good (probably why Gilliam ripped it :P)

thanks for clearing that up, and yes, it is brilliant

edit: damn its expensive. i am happy to own a really old analogue video tape of that movie... i recorded it from arte a looong time ago. maybe it is possible to get it from arte, they normally offer everything they send for purchase. try them. video recordings are legal in germany, so hopefully i dont offend anyone by writing this :hide:
