The only people I've seen who don't like Fallout 3 are people on boards like these. Everyone else loves it. Even people who have played the originals.

Or people who claim to have played them. And how do you know that everyone else loves it? I know quite a few people from my circle that aren't NMA members and who dislike Fallout 3.
Yea disregard what I said. Sorry about that.

And while i totally agree most of the criticism/bashing on Fallout 3 (main plot sucks, "fun park", weak dialogs, too easy, crippled RPG elements etc. etc.), i think its still FAR ABOVE AVERAGE compared to rpg's we've seen in the past few years.

What? Have you ever heard of Mass Effect? The duologue, combat, animation, and overall boldness of the series was riveting. It is written better than fallout 3, looks better than fallout 3, sounds better than fallout 3, and it is better than Fallout 3. I'd dare say in many departments it is easily on par with fallout, and in many others better.

I agree Mass Effect was better but as the poster after you stated, you are merely playing as Shepherd. What left the bitter taste in my mouth with Mass Effect is I am given the Milky Way Galaxy but it's still just as short as KOTOR. That game defined teasing the player, granted it was made first for a console which the rule is if it's above 25 hours no one will play it. *awaits the JRPG's are longer criticism, but I am referring to games made for the American market. Mass Effect was a great game but it had the potential to be so much more but they limited themselves by giving you a whole galaxy with 5 or 6 main worlds with actual quests.
