Fallout 4 DLC revealed

The skin on the dinosaur thing reminds me of Gila (pronounced heel-la) monsters.

Or TRAPPERS. Here they are all crazy and hostile and no longer trade gecko pelts.

Oh and BTW, desert eagle is mod, not FH's new weapon.

That's so stupid. It's just like Point Lookout where there were smugglers and they were hostile on sight too. You'd think we'd be able to trade with these trappers. I'm sure they probably collect mirelurk and "mireshrimp" meat to sell.

In Point Lookout the smugglers found and collected punga fruit, trading it with the Capital Wasteland. You'd think we'd be able to trade for their punga fruit since punga fruit is actually a really good food, but no, they're hostile on sight for no reason even though they're just supposed to be smugglers and traders.

It's also like how the Gunners are supposed to be mercenaries that you can hire to do dirty work but no matter where you are in the Commonwealth they'll shoot on sight immediately instead of, oh I don't know, asking if you want to hire them!

I'm reminded of Black Talon Company and think of all the complaints of one dimensional characters. Bethesda has broken the mold though in creating characters with zero dimension.

Well, Talon Company got contracts from a side, it's a matter of fact. Gunners don't have any explanation of their behavior. And no, they are hostile even when you are not sided with the Minutemen, I checked.
Trappers are renamed raiders, who just got twisted by fog and that's it. (the only ingame explanation) The only time I saw them hunting was fight with a deer BTW.
It's stupid because Far Harbor settlers are fine, Longfello is fine and he IS walking in mist for a long time.

For the FH's main quest - I can say without doubt it's better than what we had in Point Lookout. But PL was a different kind of addon, you were just a visitor who listened to the worried mother and that's it, so that 'main quest' is not so main, only with Bethesdard logic (sorry for RPGCodex's shitspeech). Far Harbor, on the other hand is basically a Nick Valentine's Case #3. Which was done by frozen banana instead.
