Fallout can be hazardus to your health!

Wild Thing

First time out of the vault
After playing a couple of hours, i quitted because the game was messin up my plans in the game!

But now (about a half hour after playing) i can still hear the ambitient and "music" of Fallout!

Why did you "quitted?!?!?!"

You just "quitted" one of the best games ever created.

Mohrg

i know that, but that doesn`t help when things just keep going bad...I`m a bit like dr.jekyl/mr. hyde...First when i start i`m happy and excited...But when things start going badly (so bad i can`t do anything to make it right) i go into all kinds of anger!

Just start over, don't quit! I have restarted so MANY games in Fallout 1 and 2 and I wont even go into details about Arcanum!

Mohrg

Things are starting to clear up in the game now...(big thanks to my advanced power armor!!....And my big mutie friend marcus!)

That is because you just chose to play a game more addictive than Jet.

If you're still having trouble, and your weapons skills are good, I'd reccomend shots to the eyes (or the groin  ).

Wow, first time playing fallout 2?

Well, i'm impressed that you got the advanced power armor so quickly.... took me like a full hour to just resolve the gecko thing.... god i hate lynette.....dont we all?

What are you saying? I can't hear you because of the 'raider' music :P

This game is way TOO addicting...
My longest period without Fallout was about 4 months.... (Diablo2 addction...)
My latest period was about 3 months.... (Girlfriend, GTA: Vice City)

But still, with all the games I have I still keep comming back to fallout...

Agreed, I just started Fallout 2 over again. The music just fits in the game.

By the way, who MADE the music anyway? Interplay themselves? Because they did a great job on Vault City, Modoc and The Den, captures the feeling of those places perfectly...

Mark Morgan did.

Who the shoight is Mark Morgan?

Dunno

He's prolly doing the score for Fallout 3 as well

You should ask one of the BIS employees for a Fallout soundtrack, if they're in a good mood they might send it to you. If not, you can always rip it from the game :P

Falout withdrawal is bad for your health, it shares the same symptoms as depression.

no kiddding... for me, it sounds like its coming from outside. it mixes with the natural sounds of whatever is outsides, so its kind of freaky

especially at night, when I'm trying to sleep... :?

I've just ordered Fallout 1 and 2.
I just can't wait to get it!
I've played it several times, home at my friend's PC. I borrowed it once, and played it for good.
But now I want my own :)
Fallout 1 and 2 are indeed addictive!

Yeah, the game CAN be hazardous to both your physical and mental health. Besides the genital hemorraghies mentioned above (which actually never happened to me ;P to be honest) I recall, a couple of years ago, unconsciously transforming everything I saw into something post-nuclear in a desert setting. Main Street was post apoc Main Street with sand, broken cars, tumbleweed and the occasional mutant. No, I wasn't high or anything ;P Just the game, fair and plain.

I have had mental effects from the game. A few years back when I got the second one, I had a dream I was being attacked by a deathclaw.

I'm taking my dad's laptop to uni, which is just about good enough to play fallout 1/2. Unfortunately it was usually my parents who stopped my games playing (sometimes coming in from work and finding my almost welded to the seat, surrounded by plates and crisp wrappers) so I can see myself with eyes aching at 5 in the morning...

*snicker* I remember playing FO2 at school and getting called into the principals office. Man that was a good day. Anyway, since getting a new computer I've literally stopped playing it, and it's dropped down to my 3rd favourite game of all time. DOH!!
