Fallout Chapter 2- The Wastelands OCC-

Mind if I join ? I've read all of it so far (quite good so far)


Heres the characther idea.

Name: Daniel
Species: Ghoul
inventory: One gauss pistol (inoperable), 5Gauss mags, One single barreled shotgun (2nd barrel broke), approx 40 SG shells, 2 stimpacks, a good supply of Jerky (killed a small pack wolf's), Compass, Pipboy (out of power), light armour made from radscorp carpice's, steel/flint, cooking supply's, canteen and a package of goods from Junktown



Have him start out either in Junktown or the desert and be heading to trade with Curt when someone badly injured by scorp's wearing a torn backback that's empty starts shooting at him with the Gauss pistol. He fires back, and gets a head shot killing the guy, and damaging the pistol.

Once he gets to Curt's place, I'd suggest having him just wait, have him know Curt, and trade with him occasionly. (Ill leave what he's trading up to Welsh. I'd recomend Curt Selling Killian something useful that he has that Junktown doesnt, supplies of some sort.)

-- I'm not expecting to do anything with the Gauss pistol but trade it later on, or maybe Sam could modify the electromagnets to be an EMP weapon to use aginst the tough bots youre sure to meet. Course, that would require the group meeting him, which wont happen til they leave the vault, unless someone gets hurt or they decide to turn back for the day or something.

A gauss pistol? Were you not paying attnetion to the whole, low level characters, low weapons?

You are missing the "low level characters" starting Fallout theme of the story.

I would suggest a reconceptualization.
 
Ok, scratch the broken gauss.


Have him take a knife off of the body of the guy that attacked.

And change the trader bit to wandering. He wander's from town to down, usualy getting kicked out for being a ghoul, but finding odd jobs along the way.
 
I'm not against this character, but I am concerned that you will play this one like you did in Lone Wanderers.
 
Na, I was brand new to RPing then.

Still am to some extent, but I learned my lesson there.

Hmmm, maybe have him meet up in the hub with the other two ?
They think he's a dead body and try to loot him, leading to conversation. (or better yet, you give an idea, since Im reletivley inexperinced still.)
 
psycho as far as i care you are ok by me(assuming that has any authority whatsoever)
and assuming that welsh says its ok and albatross does too yu wuld be ok in joining our small thread of the adventure.and besides even if you are not that good a writer you are a true fallout fan at heart and that is fine by me (^_^).

btw i thought your argument with gunslinger over the power armor was hilarious.
 
Hmmm.... I personally don't mind but I would like to do a test thread to see how compatibility goes, both with me and pryo and the moderators and compliance with the rules. I had to do this when I first started role playing online about six months ago on another board. I have already screwed up once and don't care to be associated with another problem if possible, no offense [3PD]. Everyone is entitled to a screwed up or two as long as they learn from them. If you have, there shouldn't be much of a problem on my part unless your character makes me want to shoot him in the arms repeatedly. In my best Star wars Episode one Anikin Skywalker impersonation, "The arm thing was a joke, mostly." If you do get the go ahead, I think that my character will probably regard you as a walking medical experiment. I don't know. It just seems to fit my character.

actually, I can write good (I've been doing StarWars fanfic quite a bit, and got quite a following on a SW board) but my spelling/grammar sucks, which means I'm lucky to have a good betareader to fix my fic.

Yup I've learned. Starting with a highlevel characther=torture by numerous lowlevel characthers :p





Hmmm, since the main group is thrust together by uncontlable circumstances, maybe do something like that with the Hub group ?



Raider attack prompting us to work together perhaps ? Anyway, shutting up now, I'll leave that stuff to Welsh, since he knows what hes doing more than I do.
 
Ok, I have been talking about this with Zoe. I wanted to get a new thread up. Something for new roleplayers and experienced ones to try their hand.

To be honest, I find that players who want to join up for a few weeks and then quit to be annoying as hell. You have no idea how many players have come on to play for a short amount of time and then leave us all waiting for them to submit.

So I am starting a new roleplay. This one is primarily for new players to try it out. If they want to stick, they can try one of the more established roleplays- Kilrick, but the Fallout-Wasteland qualifies, and Lone Wanderers, if that gets going again.

Is cool?
 
Ok, cool. And I agree about the leaving thing being annoying as hell.

I tried a few round-robin fics on the SW boards Im on heavily (a round robin is basicly just a RP but in a fanfic board) and always had to cancel when pple dissapered.

I agree with welsh in that it is wrong to leave in midgameplay

assuming i ever do ill leave when i am done and do it in a good way so i can come back later

btw thx for the compliment welsh and id love to try this new rp
 
It is always a peasure to be in a thread where players are creative and take their time when posting, so to have the chance to put their talent to use.

I have been in many boards, and this along with present Vault0.org are the ones that give me more incentive to RP cause the people are indeed nice and are good players :)

Folks, sorry for being away - I had some real life problems that thankfully are being solved.
This means you shall be seeing me once or twice a week at least.

Now, onto roleplaying! The show must go on :)

Ok, I am not giving you guys enough story direction.

The Selma facility was built in an old series of mines and caves, because it was cheaper to build it. somewhere the walls have broken in, and thus the water has begun to flood the facility causing electrical damage but also allowing the biological and chemical substances to escape and mix.

Selma facility is the source of rad scorpions which have mutated because of the lethal mix. But there are other nasties down here as well. The mixture is unstable but allows certain more simple organizism to mutate- centipillers, scorpions, spiders. These have mostly destroyed the robots down on the bottom level.

We need to destroy that mix to rid Shady Sands of the radscorpion source and worse things.
