Fallout Comic

Awesome

Man that comic is awesome! I really like how Ian has real character to him. I always wished it could be like that in the game. I also like how Fallout items are implemented in the story and their pictures are shown in the panels. I also think you have the right combination of action and dialog. Your comic rocks! :D

Yeah I am having a great time making Ian a real person instead of just the jerk that always burts at the wrong time.

Now I am trying to decide what Tyco is going to be like.

dreading the hub ... way to much stuff to do. I am going to have to explore the hell out of it. Think I am going to go get the water merchants to send water back to the vault, and go with them. That way I can stop by Shady sands again, find out tandi is kidnapped and go give the raiders some heat. By then I will hopefully have metel or combat armor so I can explain getting shot and living.

I need to get Ian a new gun too, or else he is going to kill me and dogmeat every battle. I am also going to have to up my doctor skills. Crippled limbs are going to be ... plentiful.

I am glad no one is complaining about the comic being hard to follow. Sometimes even to me the amount of speech bubbles is extreme! (Chapter 8 for example). I decided to give Jinx a grey tint to his bubbles to make it a little easier. Once tyco gets involved I might have to give Ian, Tyco and Jinx different colored bubbled just to keep it clean. What do you guys think?

That's a good idea, and you might give the others their own colors as well, like angry enemies red(without the bubble), white to friends(help calls etc.) and so on.

Good job man, I was afraid that chapter9 was only the top page. :ok:

I don't want to over colorize it though that would be distracting. I don't know yet, Tyco just joined up so I will see how the next few panels look. If they are over-bubbled then I might give ian a blue tint and tyco and orange tint.

no mean to be critical but i already found 1 typo on number 10 :P

on the third page when Ian is talking about how its gonna be easier than he "though"

Awesome comic though man!
I really like the panels of the man attacking with the sledge hammer!

Not critical at all! Please inform me of all typos I will fix them right away. The last thing I want is my comic to be riddled with typos.

By the way that's Jinx busting Izzo with a sledge :D

oops...

My crappy short-term memory had switched the color of skin on the victim and attacker....

I bet its also because in Fallout 1 those black guys in the Blades (that right?) were frickin monsters

Guess I've generalized anyone wielding a sledge hammer to be black :(

Do you will continue this comic?
It was inspiring one, ofcourse sometime too much text in one page.

Ok i just worked a little more on it, and Jinx is now in the Hub. Now I am fucked. I don't even remember the hub that well, I am going to have to play through the hub several times. I am not even sure what the most importiant missions will be for me.

(spoiler ahead)
There is the thieves guild, Decker, the missing caravans, caravans, that wimpy peasant whose farm has been taken by raiders....

Now, this a very good comic! I love the dinamic style on it! I love how you have each character a personality! How Ian is a kind buddy, or how Tycho is a vigilante!

Well, I haven't really been playing it yet, but help me out here. Who is opposed to Decker? Who is the person that wants him out of here? I don't think I will be doing the thieves guild because Jinx wouldn't be into it. I will do the farm guy, and the deathclaw, and the water merchants for sure, as it will give me an excuse to stop by Shady sands and rescue Tandi.

You know that room next to the big gun merchant in the Hub, where it's full of badasses that attack yuo as soon as you open the door? What is the story with those guys?

The sheriff. Nobody asks you to take him out, tho', if you talk to Lorenzo (the money guy), he'll tell you about Decker, if you manage to get in and get Decker to offer you a job, you can tell the Sheriff he did so.

They're drug dealers. The big gun merchant (Jake) can tell you about them in your very first conversation with him (never again in following conversations) if you ask him about RadAway and where to get it, you can then tell those guys Jake sent you, in which case they don't attack.

Are you sure he's not talking about the Rough Guards holding the initiate hostage? Their building is very close to Jake's shop, to the southwest.

I've never been attacked by the drug dealers on sight.
