Fallout Dev Profile

That's right boys and girls, we here at NMA decided that we wanted all the flith and dirt we could dig up on the various Fallout developers and thus we made our Fallout Developers Profile section.

Basicly it's a standard profile of the various developers that have worked on either of the Fallouts, we also decided to bring in those that worked on Van Buren (Fo3) even tho it never saw the day of light.

First off is Josh Eric Sawyer, who talks about his lusts, his love and..erm..well not exactly but here's a preview:
What are your favourite bands/artists (music) ?

Björk is easily my favorite. I also like Goldfrapp, P.J. Harvey, Mogwai, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Dawn Upshaw, Lamb, Morphine, Andreas Scholl, Beck, Amon Tobin, Calexico, Mandy Patinkin, David Bowie, Aphex Twin, Dead Can Dance, Sparta, Billie Holiday, Martina Topley-Bird, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, and many others.

When I hear people pumping phat beats at stop lights in San Diego, I like to roll up with Pagan Poetry at full volume.
Aww..that rebel!

And if you're a former Fallout developer, well contact me and we'll get you posted as well..

That's right people, the "E" stands for Eric

Big yay, too. Though you quoted a weird bit. I mean hello, he said this:

If you could make any computer game that you wanted, which would it be and why?

More than anything, I would have like to have finished Fallout 3. I have to admit there are other ideas I have that, momentarily, seem more appealing, but making Fallout 3 was what I wanted to work on for years.

Yeh.

I love the dev/community interaction in the Fallout community. As is seen in another thread today, I mailed Tim Cain and got a reply within the hour .... I sincerely hope the 'straight to hell' prediction from Josh doesn't include Fallout.

Hehe, Sawyer has a good taste when it comes to music. I like most of what he says, especially Beck and Radiohead and Aphex Twin and David Bowie and Martina Topley-Bird and...

I betcha he likes Tricky as well! :)

One of the few big things I did on Van Buren was taking an organization Chris invented and changing it (perhaps mangling it in the process) into a neo-Roman slavers’ legion with all the weird titles, makeshift costumes, and traditions of that group.

Uh?

Any last word to the Fallout fan base?

Chris Jones, Chris Avellone, and Scott Everts spent a lot of time working on that goddamned editor, so some of you should use it.

omg SHAME ON YOU ALL!

Maybe you could put this pic on his profile Odin:

Björk is easily my favorite. I also like Goldfrapp, P.J. Harvey, Mogwai, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Dawn Upshaw, Lamb, Morphine, Andreas Scholl, Beck, Amon Tobin, Calexico, Mandy Patinkin, David Bowie, Aphex Twin, Dead Can Dance, Sparta, Billie Holiday, Martina Topley-Bird, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, and many others.

Bjork is cool, one day i`ll have to get the dvd with all her videos. I`m from the days of the Sugarcubes by the way.
Goldfrapp is nice, girls that like them are always naughtier.
P.J. Harvey is great, nothing i can add to that.
Mogwai, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Dawn Upshaw , now these i don`t know who they are, will keep an eye on them.
Lamb are a nice couple, already played a couple of times in the town where i live, the last album is uninspired though.
Morphine played three times not very far away from where i live, before the death of Sandman, they had quite a cult around these parts. Very nice group, solid music
I don`t think i know Scholl and Tobin, Beck is great.
I first heard of calexico here on NMA, everyone should try their music, really great. Bowie has ups and downs, the ups are fabulous, Radiohead and the Queens of The Stone age are very interesting, Billie Holliday is wonderfull, i`m wathing her on a french music channel, it`s amazing. Dead can Dance really really makes me nostalgic, the 4AD bands were fabulous during my teen years, it brings back so many memories...

The interview really calls for some commenting, but that can wait.
