Fallout Enclave/mrk3 helmet build/mod. PICTURE HEAVY.

ZOMG two posts in a day!

purple goo phase is cured.. yay for good weather. Fiberglass is in the works and is curing now.

Left to do...
1.)wait...
2.) peal back the fiber glass sections
3.) cut the mold apart
4.) inspect it for quality
5.) remove the helmet
6.) figure out a step 7 - 10. I have resin for a new mold but.. no way to mold the inside of the helmet.. yet..

Very nice work, this is some of the best fan made stuff I've seen! Can't to see the finished product. :D

How's the T51-b helmet coming?

 Dude you need to make a glove mold for slushcasting that thing. Nobody molds the inside of helmets.

1. Is that silicone or latex? I hope it's silicone for the rest of the list and that you haven't removed the master yet..

2. Put in some temp. lenses for the molding process. People are just going to have to put in their own lenses anyway. No way a mold is going to work with two huge leaky holes in it. Silicone bonds to silicone even if it's cured so it's an easy fix for you to put an additional layer or two on to cover those holes.

3. No need to cut the mold. The tear strength of the silicone should handle the abuse of taking a cast out.

4. Put keys on your mold to make sure it stays flush and secure in the shell.

5. Make sure the 2 halves (Front/Back) of your shell bolt together in a good alignment.
