Looks amazing man! First F3 Mk II I've seen this far done. Send me a PM if you ever want to mold this. I'd love to have a copy or do a trade for one of my T-51b's.
Paper craft seems really popular these days. Not a bad thing. Looks really cool. Good work.
I saw some Mother/Earthbound paper crafts at Earthbound central.
I should learn that in my down time.
Ok, sorry for the delay. I have been looking for the correct equipment to outfit the Mk3 helm.
I would like to put in a voice amp / changer.. This is what I need help finding.
I have new goggles for the inside but I need to think of a way to attach them. they are a dark tinted millitary balistic plext glass. very cool looking.
I also have been tossing around an idea about putting a chatter box in to this. (Motorcycle helmet voice activated to way radio headset w/ bluetooth). I cant see a.. need for it but I want it. after having one in my motorcycle helmet.
Anywho. here is a screeny of the other reason for my delay om the mk3. more to follow. stay tuned.
I made a helmet for a show many years ago and at the time I needed the exact same thing.
The solution for me was to go to a toy store and find a kiddy robot mask with a voice changer unit and I just plucked it out of the mask and inserted it into the one I was going to use.
Only cost me the effort and the 10 USD for the kiddy mask itself at the time
More progress on the T51-b helm. Here you can see the general shape and style. I have used some brackets durring the construction to keep things as perfict as posible.(see the round metal thingies on the ear and mouth)
Vacation next week. Then Back to the grind stone.
Oh yeah.. hehe. Orderd a 7 inch LCD screen thats USB powered.. you know. to go inside the helm and I have modified a web cam to only see in infer red.. more about that bit later. for now. enjoy.
Amazing work, I don't know how you guys have the patience for this kind of thing. I myself always wanted to make props, but I am too lazy and unskilled to do it.
I am back from vacation and the heat is on! The Mrk3 entered the blue goo phase today. 2nd coat will go on shortly, I am waiting for it to dry as we speak.
I have procured all the materials I need to create a few of these..
Hopefully I will have some results for you tomorrow. (if everything goes well).
