Fallout: Lanius fan film released

I liked the camera angles. The first shot of Lanius surrounded by slaves is excellent, as are the scenes with the tribals at night.

However, the music selection is awful. The track "Metallic Monks" simply does not fit the tribal atmosphere, and they combat tracks from NV sound ill-fitting to the pace of the combat. As for the action scenes themselves- well- they blew. No one looks like they're actually attacking. Same goes for the voices, too fake sounding.

It's a pretty film- the costumes are great, shots are great- but I have to goddamn say the acting blows, and it fails to establish a believable atmosphere.

Forgettable. Neither good enough nor too bad to become viral. It is just average.

But damn, the props are surprisingly good. That is the highlight of it for me.

It was pretty good, although the combat scenes were too shakey camey and too quickly edited to be properly enjoyable, which is a shame. But it looked good, I liked the use of music, and it is just nice seeing almost professional looking fallout live action stuff.
Cool that Fallout has such an active film community. This, Nuka Break, Red Star..awesome.

Thanks for watching, everyone. Not that I'd say I agree with some of the feedback - I do appreciate the blunt analysis. Plus at 20+ minutes I appreciate you guys taking the time to watch it.

I really liked it, although his mask didn't seem to fit? I have no real complaints except I thought the pace went by a bit too quickly even for a 20+ minute movie.

Yeah, it was a tricky costume but Johnny was able to make it work. In regards to the pace, we didn't want it to drag on too much. I see a lot of Fan stuff that just keeps going and going - with this I wanted to move quickly and dynamically from scene to scene.

I enjoyed the film. Hope to see a follow-up with a bigger budget. Kinda wish Lanius' voice sounded more "normal/human" before he puts on the mask. Like Anakin/Vader, before and after.

Great movie, while the combat scenes could have been shot differently, the more quiet, fixed moments were astounding. Especially the intro and the outro were brilliant... not to mention the surprise at the end, which I appreciated highly!

I enjoyed it, the beginning of the first two fight scenes does seem too slow, then it seems the pacing of the action speeds up midway through both fights. I thought the actors who played lanius, caesar, the caesar's 2nd in command all had decent presence. The tribal buddy/ asian tribal did decently too, except mumbling one of his lines.
I liked the music overall, but the transitions did seem jerky. All the extra tribals seemed very "junkie" -like, don't know if that was intentional.

Overall I enjoyed it, liked the shots and the action, just think the fights took to long to reach normal speed. Good job and thanks to anyone who had a part in this. Keep up the good work and hope to see more stuff in the future.

Thanks for the positive feedback - I appreciate it. I think I mentioned earlier it was all a huge learning process. If/When we return to the universe, I think I'll stick what I do best: character drama. Less fight scenes and more dramatic interaction (which for me, isn't so much dialogue, but other things).

I'd love to do something with the Burned Man, but we'll have to wait and see.

It was way longer and way better than I expected it to be.

i liked the first bit, where he slays the legionaries. :)

I thought it was perfect... mad bonus points for getting the voice of Lanius for this film. Sticks to the lore and the props/setting were amazing. My only complaints are the combat didn't seem very natural and the actor they chose for Lanius looks like a jacked Wil Wheaton (it's seriously all I could see).
