Fallout: London will not include the Queen

Fallout Ghoul-dom no? I mean... ignoring that they are setting it outside of Bakersfield/Necropolis, they would presumably retain the ghouls from the IP.

The offense is the proximity to the funeral.

But weren't the ghouls created from the war that happened in 2077? She would have to live that long normally in order to be a ghoul.

Yes. It doesn't make sense, but neither does setting it in London.

The Fallout narrator states, "In two brief hours, most of the planet was reduced to cinders".

Best not to worry about lore in a mod that another fan made.

I really doubt that every other part of the world got it absolutely worse than the USA. Arguably the USA got "reduced to cinders" too but it doesn't mean people won't survive and rebuild there either.

USA and China were the big players in this universe, they'd likely receive the most nukes. Not everyone in Fallout that survived and started rebuilding came out of Vaults. I could see an argument that the US soil with Vaults could have a higher initial population though, due to Vaults.

Besides those two, I'd imagine Russia and most of Europe would be the next two big targets. Then probably the Middle East and maybe North Africa and other parts of Asia. I'd imagine most of South America and Southern Africa would receive overall less nukes. I don't know what to think about Australia though. Could be wrong but they didn't really write it all out super plainly from what I remember, which I'd say is a good thing because writing yourself into corners early on is always messier when you have to retcon it to make it work.

I like to think we came away untouched and just continued business as usual but we are petty economically friendly with china and the yanks and poms have a history of screwing us over so we'd probably get nuked too.

I would say that that's in keeping the game's humor if it was. I know that I only ever got the impression that the entire world is almost devoid of human life... but for the few in vaults, the few living on the surface. Remember.... Fallout was a one-shot GURPS campaign setting.

I think the whole world should be ashes so there are no more games to play. The end.

I guess I always applied realism to this statement when Pearlman narrated it. There's no doubt the detonation of hundreds of warheads IRL, even just in the US and China, would cause enough radioactive fallout to poison most of the world, which would be spread through wind erosion and dust particles traveling through the atmosphere. The nuclear winter would force most flora and fauna into extinction after the fallout period ends.
That being said, I also agree that maybe the OGs weren't too focused on the entire world when they were developing Fallout and Fo2. It's all just California anyways lol.
