Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Edition announced

Cards with FO characters on them seem kinda lame. There are 52 cards (and two jokers) and I doubt they will pull off that many interesting and memorable characters unless they resort to using critters like mole rats or w/e. The Novel looks like a nice drop for back stories but might be included as a PDF file in on the CD or somewhere online. In conclusion no premium for me.

I'm sure the deck will be more interesting than the nothing on normal decks of cards. Plus, I can't add a PDF to my bookshelf.

I'm totally buying this. WOO! Etc. At least i'll get something fun out of this, in case the game ends up sucking at all.

If by nothing you mean the historical figures the kings and queens symbolize or the Pin-up girl deck I'm about to buy on Ebay then sure w/e.

The number cards will very likely be left unchanged. They always change the picture cards only on any kind of themed card decks.

Well, the release says that "Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. "

I'm talking about the basic cards with the symbols and the classic "king, queen, jack". Since when does pin-up girl deck qualify as standard?

Well, let's hope it will be in poland as well, because I don't want to buy it in germany. :P

Give the money and I'll send it to you. Or, better yet, drop by Posen and I'll buy you a beer.

♠ “Lucky 7” poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
They are 7, this possible means one for each SPECIAL stat, like Bobbleheads. I liked Bobbleheads.

It's Poznań, not Posen!

Good thinking that man.

Umm I thought they meant there were seven chips in the collectors edition copy not seven "bobble head" chips in the game.

I wonder how they make each box looking so "detoriated" in mass production. Or is this just "visual" scratches, no "physical" scratches etc?
Most likely it’s a photograph of an old box, or box made to look old, that is taken into Photoshop, then messed around a little, sent off to the printer and packaging company and bang…a nice looking “brand new” old box. Once you have it in your hands you will see instantly that it isn’t actually an old box, it’s just clever printing.

I do admit it looks good…the box that is, the rest of the stuff isn’t too bad either, but I think I will wait a few years and buy it on Ebay.

Yep .Pixote , that's what I meant.

I mean, it would be just ridicolous thinking that every box is handmade, by MCA or someone else of the dev team, they aged it artificial.

But yes, I really really dig that style of very detoriated stuff. And as I usually don't buy Collectors Editions (I wanted that FO3 Bobblehead, though) I'll most probably buy this one. Even If I'd found it better, if I had a lil' book with a novel, rather a then a graphic novel. I don't really like comics...
