As announced earlier, the PC patch for New Vegas is up on Steam now, and will update automatically. Updates for Xbox 360 will come in later, as well as updates for PS3 whenever they fix PSN. The patch notes do not add anything to the earlier list, so the "optimizations and stability improvements" will remain unknown.

Addendum: For PS3 users, Jason Bergman adds.
I'm told game updates may be functional over PSN, despite the outage (system updates are). If so, the FNV patch will be live at 00:00 GMT.
Addendum 2: Ausir notes the PS3 version is up, at least in the SCEA area (North and South America).

Mods should work fine, main problem would be if you use FOSE as it usually needs updating to work with new versions.

You mean NVSE?
Well, I haven't tried yet, but I'm hope it'll work fine...

WTF after all this time they still haven't fixed the most prominent issues. Yes! We get some useless weapon tweaks (making the game even easier) but the engine/ game remains buggy as fuck.

We don't know that, DocM. It might be full of fixes but we simply don't know because they haven't issued a detailed patch list. They didn't for the previous patches either, it's kinda annoying.

Yep, since FO3 there's never a detailed patch list. Don't know if it's because the fixes are too many and they don't have enough time to make a list, or they simply just don't want to make one. :?

Maybe for 2 dollars we can buy a patch list DLC?

/Edit: Looks like the GECK doesn't work anymore after installing the patch. So one shall wait for an update here as well.

It's really, really annoying. If I feel better I'll test it this afternoon to see what's changed or not.

Is it updated already? I saw nothing about it.

Should be on the Steam tools section, but it doesn't work for a lot of people. They're going to put it on the website tomorrow anyway, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

My game is gone insane...
I press Play on Steam and the Preparing to launch... Thingy keeps opening and closing and nothing happens... Should I remove NVSE or any other mod that may interfere with that?

EDIT 1:
Removed the NVSE and some mods like Project Nevada, still does that... I think it's the Client Update that causes it to freak out

EDIT 2: Problem solved, just restarted Steam, sorry for the Brain Digging, as we say in my country

I'm downloading the patch as we speak, so I need to test it, but the changes in weapons aren't all "let's overpower the player and make him a God".

For example, Trail carbine had his power lowered, since the spread was raised and damage lowered; Gobi sniper rifle NEEDED a tweak, there is no incentive whatsoever for raising your lockpick to at least 80 or 100 for getting this weapon (and it cannot be silenced, bear this in mind); they also raised the price of almost every ammunition in the game, as well putted a price in the good "surplus" ones (.38 special; .223 loss the -8 DT, wich is a good move, since I wasn't using 5.56mm when I noted this)

AP points for most good weapons were raised, not lowered, meaning that people relying on the auto-cheating system (VATS) will not be able to fire too much on it. Also, most weapons mods suffered a raise in their prices, some cost 10x more. How this makes the game easier? :|

I have two really strong reservations for using this patch: the 5mm ammo and Cazadors.
Cazadors only attack when really close to the player according to the patch, meaning that people with light armor will be able to avoid a lot of the stings (those who use light armor know what I'm saying).
5mm -25 DT for AP ammo and -10 for normal ones?! You are kidding me, right?

Assault Carbine is the new ruler?

But this patch doesn't solve one of the biggest problems of New Vegas: in the beginning of the game you are meat, better run than fight, but after level 15 you are indeed a god, almost nothing can challenge you more.

They finally fixed the cowboy hat repair problem, truely this game is now perfect.
...
Sorry that had been bugging me for a while.

Also I am liking the amount of love given to explosives, my current playthrough is meant to be an explosives toon but I ditched a lot of splodeys due to the weight and naffness.

Edit: I'm guessing the Primm A.I changes have something to do with them sometimes attacking EDE for no reason.
