i wanna blame old world blues for this. it made people think you can be wacky and silly in new vegas because of it.

the issue is there are not that many middle ground in terms of tone for mods

your either way to silly or way to dark.

How can you blame old world blues for that? I loved that DLC, if this had been of similar quality silly/zany or not, it would have likely been better received (minus all the fetish shit)

Disclaimer: Fallout 2 is my favorite in the series so of course I love whacky shit.

It was both, yeah. People like to say it's just wacky shit because "lol brains in fish tanks saying funny stuff", but the DLC has a lot of dark undertones.
 
You got to be a fucking doofus to think SCIENCE and the mad doctors who practice it are to zany for Fallout.

It's the epitome of Fallout's style of comedy. Satirical retrofuturism paired equally with dark sci-fi dystopianism and a horrific reality underneath. It misfires a bit because the satire part is dripping with 2011 era internet humour but at times it feels like most people don't even remember the end of the DLC. The talk with your brain is farcical and stupid but the conversation with Dr. Mobius I always found quite sobering.

And because being citizen of Romour town and Speculation city he is hated and ridiculed in some parts of Valve game community, if you ask me it is not looking good after rebranding, but history of that is soap opera of its own. He is much of a journalist as I am a vault dweller in real life. And I bet these insiders he has give him bits and pieces of info so can he sod off, being persistent numbnuts he is.

I've literally never heard of this guy until I saw the article claiming he has insider info on "New Vegas 2". I literally couldn't believe what I was reading. From what I see in that video you posted, he looks like he'd believe the sky was falling if I told him it was lol.

I feel for the guy. He's obviously a pervert, but it in no way seems to have rubbed off on the mod - he is not responsible for any of the questionable content - he just made PIP-Boy icons and armor models, the only remotely questionable thing is that he put in a skunk plushy. Which is cringe, but does not compare to "Stolen-asset-snake-men-orgies"

I understand where are you coming from, but understand me too, I am skeptical because of bullshittery tgspy has done as damage control during this dumpsterfire.
