Fallout: The Garden

Just north of Great Lanta is Long Haven. Once known as Long Beach Island this strip of beach front paradise is now a home for all the raiders and slavers that were driven out of Great Lanta. Refurbishing old fishing and pleasure craft they now set off on pirate raids along the Jersey coast. They are opposed on land by the Grey Guard, which are basically discount minutemen/desert rangers. The Grey Guard are also involved in conflict with the Ramapough to the north.

BoS is only mentioned in name and a few random encounters and the Enclave is contained in the bottom left of the map, so they shouldn't be that much of an issue
Even that, to me, seems like too much, at least in the case of the Enclave.

I mean Manhattan took two nukes, Brooklyn took one nuke, so did Queens, and then Saddle Brook and Union out in Jersey took one each as well. As for the Philly side one nuke hit Oxford Circle and another hit Spruce Hill. NYC is almost livable now but the ghouls have had a head start on resettling it and will be the dominate force in the city. Its called Ghoul York for a reason
These are absurdly low numbers for both any reasonable IRL total nuclear exchange, or for the Fallout setting. And even if you keep these absurdly low numbers, two nukes in New York wouldn't reasonably turn it into some kind of special hellscape.

That’s the amount of vistiable craters there are in the map. There were a lot more and there were especially dirty bombs and then there is the radiation pouring into the bay from the New York watershed, the area was also polluted to shit during the prewar times as well

I would say that we learn that LA and the San Diego area are hit particularly hard due to West-Tek and FEV yet they're still origin points for factions on the West Coast

My personal head cannon is that for every nuke that hit the west coast five more hit the east coast

In Paterson there are the Equalizers, a cult centered around Samuel Colt and his inventions. "God made man Samuel Colt made him equal" is their guiding philosophy making their livelihoods manufacturing and selling weapons to those they deem worthy to receive them. Impeccable weapon smiths, they can always be found carrying their Equalizers (colt navy's) which they use to great effect against local raiders.

In Edison there are the Wizards Men, a cult worshiping Tomas Edison. Known for homemade energy weapons and a dedication to rebuilding the power grid. They are waiting for the day that the radiation levels are low enough in Ghoul York to turn the lights back on in the city that never sleeps.

Besides the Pineys and Grey Guard there is another faction in the Pine Barrens. They are the Barony of the Pines, led by The Baron of the Pines they are a glorified band of raiders and slavers. Terrorizing the inhabitants of the Pine Barrens the only thing that is feared more than them is the Jersey Devil himself.

If they only give guns to those they deem “worthy”, that kind of goes against their guiding philosophy, doesn’t it? Shouldn’t they give guns to everyone so everyone is equal?

The only people they deem unworthy are raiders and those that already heavily armed. The latter because they don't really need the Equalizers help and they are not in true mass production yet. They also have something against energy weapons.

I have the idea for a radio station up in High Point that reports on raiders and tribal raids and another group of tribals in the Delaware Water Gap. Also some wildwasteland shit in Action Park. No idea what to do with them yet

I can sympathize with that, but it's building new foundations over a swamp; it really doesn't have to exist unless you want, and choose to keep the rot and vandalism intact. No one here gives a moment's thought for FOBOS, and FO3 is essentially FOBOS 2.

Actually I am more curious about FOBOS2 than I ever will about any new Bethesda Fallout games.
