The show is going to be fine unless you have an autistic shit fit when they say something like "Ghouls don't even breathe" or some shit like that. Who cares? It's a TV show. It's not being made for nerds on NMA it is being made for NORMAL people. The lore in the series has always been shit and people that obsess over it have a mental illness they need to work on.

Read my edit.

I think it is safe to say Super Duper Mart implies East Coast. Might be wrong.

Writing can't be worse than the Bethesda Fallouts because you have to actually try to be worse than that.

Look I know people hate Amazon because of Wheel of Time and Rings of Power but both of those things were going to be gay anyway. The Tick, The Terminal List, and The Boyz have been fairly decent when compared to anything Bethesda has ever written in the history of ever. It will be fine. I had concerns when they did not have a cast but the cast lets me know (as a guy that actually watches modern AND old TV and movies) this will be fine. Jack Ryan was good too.

Don't take my word for it. Take the word of a popular Youtuber that I hate.

Oh and Reacher is fucking awesome. Anybody here watch ANY OF THOSE?

I am somewhat interested in The Boys, but I gotta run it by the lady friend since we watch every show together.

If you are offended by political fuckery don't bother. Codex is so butthurt that Homelander is now a Trump parody when originally he was a Bush jr. parody.

I loved Disco Elysium which is full of political commentary, so I should be fine for it.

Generally I'm pretty chill when it comes to political commentary in media- at least if it's done well.

Disco was slanted left so at the very least you should be safe. I hated how they tried to call me a fence sitter for trying to figure out their retarded politics in a couple of dialog prompts. Plus the world was smaller than my dick.

It definitely slants left, but I think it does a fairly okay job at criticizing communists in the game, at least through a leftist perspective.

Either way I went full on Boomer Neoliberal Reaganite for shits and giggles.

"Deep breath. Exhale. Let's see where this road goes," Goggins said in the caption. Another confirmed star, Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), quickly responded to the post, saying, "Glad to be traveling it with you."

Joining Goggins and MacLachlan are Ella Purnell (Army of the Dead), who is chosen to play the series' main lead, Xelia Mendes-Jones (Havoc), and Aaron Moten (The Transfiguration) in a yet unspecified roles.

This is the weakest link I can see since she is relatively new. Need to watch Army of the Dead again to see how she did. I hope Goggins is a villain of some sort he does great in those roles.

So actually Fallout 1 then? Well Fallout 1 is on the shorter side and it's sidequests are structured on a more overarching linear fashion so it makes sense to base the show on it. It even has a neat narrative middle point where they can do a time skip and introduce the harsher developments and even some of the endings befirehand.

Water chip was Fallout 1 surely. Fallout 3 was following around daddy in his obsession for the water purification plant, even though bottles of purified water were everywhere !?

Supa Dupa Mart was fallout 3. Nowhere near Goodsprings which the real life town held a shindig.

I won't see the TV programme anyway as I don't do TV add ons Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. TV controls the masses lol.

It's likely going to be a mix of all the stuff. Makes sense they focus on Fo3, as majority of people got into Fallout with that one, and there's still shitton of people who think it's the best game.

So my tl;dr is, they use Fo3 / Washington as a backdrop, but use the better story parts from the other games (water chip, etc).

I think people that watched Halo and did not care about Halo lore enjoyed it. At least from what I read.

The Super Mario Bros. movie is what people should be thinking of when they watch a video game movie, meaning don't worry about dumb shit just enjoy the ride.

When Mortal Kombat came out nobody cared that Shao Khan busted out of a tower and was 100 feet tall. Nobody cared that Resident Evil was Alice in Wonderland with zombies.

They cared so much they made fifty sequels of Resident Evil and retards kept watching them and Mortal Kombat is still one of the better video game movies ever released. Super Mario Bros. is better than it has any right to be it was 1993 for fucks sake. People just like to complain then they watch it anyway or they were not going to watch it to begin with.

Those movies are fine. I mean not the fifty Resident Evil sequels only the first one was actually good. If someone cared about Khan being a giant then they probably did not like Reptile coming out of one of those statues for no reason. Everyone I knew (as a kid) loved those movies.

I could really get into the backstory of the MK movie and how great it was but alas....
