i didn't post here to fight with the forum..i posted here to clear up some b/s teatimes spreading. you can hear the real side of the story or you can follow teatime and get in my face and call me clueless either way i did what i set out to do..even though it was probably a pointless attempt.
That's three. See how this works? I'm a man of my word. I hate it when children test my patience. Before you try to skew things, this has nothing to do with Teatime. Teatime isn't even a staff member here, so why the hell are you attributing him to this site is really beyond me. So he posts on this forum. Hey, news flash. You do to.
Well...did.

You are acting as if it's Bethesda's fault that so many people over-reacted... sorry to break the news to you but go and look at any other hundreds of games and you will find interviews exactly the same. No one ever had a problem with those interviews because people didn't go nuts over something as trivial as a single sentence in pre-production time. If you expect an apology, then don't hold your breath cause Bethesda sure won't... they are laughing too hard.
Pity. I remember when the exact same thing when the Ultima fans just smiled and nodded at the Ultima 8 press release. They later, when they had the game in their own hands, found out it really was as said - but the Fallout fans have been shit on twice before. And...you don't see why anyone is upset? Either you're a masochist or believe developers are small gods.
Which, I know, many people are like. They'll gobble up any offering, bitch about it, and then turn to the next shiny piece of crap. Sorry, but you'll have to build more fire-resistant straw men around here if you want to remain, kid.
As for my sig, I did that on purpose, because I wanted to show what shitty "journalism" IGN passes on as "news", without any care as to the content of the subject. I wanted the effect to be large, heartfelt, and enough of a faux pas for everyone involved to point at David Adams and say "Dumbass." If you could call it a job. What does the schmuck get, anyways? A free game every month? That doesn't buy integrity, apparently.
I would also advise that Bethesda's PR and anyone who is a dev to refrain from using "gritty" as much as possible. Every other game that claimed the same didn't quite deliver, and it was used by Interplay as a buzz-word for the Fallout universe. Frankly, "gritty" is starting to sound more like we should expect Gritty Kitty with the chewy surprises buried inside. The press releases often were.
Macaco: I would bet on the more seasoned to know how to handle this. They weathered the reception of other releases quite well.
