I'm exploring it again with my Nuka Cola armor.

It feels like enemy country.

VIIM Country.

I liked the basic idea and style of it. Kinda expected it to be way more Lovecraftian.
The "hacking" sections sucked balls, though, the new items were half-assed as usual, and the Children of Atom were retarded as always. The worst was the forced "realisation" that you could be synth. Suddenly the SS doesn't remember anything from before the War/start of the game? Fuck off.
I liked the Red Death. The quest was a neat idea, the build-up was short but neat, and the reveal was actually funny. And the Red Death itself was just adorable. Too bad you had to "vanquish" it, I would have totally put it in my settlement as the most adorable pet/light fixture.

I haven't played it, but I have seen reviews of it on Youtube. I don't like the idea that the Sole Survivor might be a synth. It doesn't make any sense for the story and contradicts the pre-war segment where your character remembers stuff about the park and losing a dog.

You can also tell him Dima's stupid for thinking so. I suspect it was just added as a roleplaying option.

I liked the lever-action rifle. Unfortunately, Bethesda half-assed the reloading animation and the Legendary weapons from the base game made it and the rest of the DLC weapons pretty much useless.

The writing was significantly smarter than before, thank god. It had more options and fun side-quests than the main story.

Hacking sucked.

Atom cult could've made a little more sense.

Liked the new creatures.

Liked the addition of skill checks.

Oh yeah, they couldn't even get the loading animation right because programming is hard. Lazy fuckers.
As for useless weapons, well, as soon as you can buy Overseer's Guardian you don't need any other weapon, anyway. Who the fuck thought that a "double damage" enchantment on a weapon you can just buy would be even remotely balanced?

God, I loved that weapon.

Yeah, it's fun if you don't want to shoot enemies for longer than absolutely necessary. Mirelurk Queen? Top kek.
It's not even 2x damage, you literally shoot twice at the cost of one. That gun was ridiculous, and when I got that enchantment for the Assault Rifle, the game was oficially over.
And by the way, shotguns and sniper rifles are garbage now, normal in bullet sponge relying games.
Oh, and last. Who was stupid enough to make the Combat Rifle and the Shotgun the same weapon but for a barrel thingy?

Given how ridiculously overleveled the majority of enemies were, it was absolutely necessary until I got the Splashcannon.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a necessary weapon. Not even Gauss Rifle or Missile Launcher or even the goddamn Fatman are that good at keeping the hordes of bullet sponges at bay.
They seriously didn't playtest this piece of shit one bit...

Theoretically, its a good thing to tweak the difficulty to be a bit more but by the time you're reaching Level 60, everyone and their brother is a Legendary.

Legendary Molerat?

WTF

And "legendary" is not even all that special, they all just regenerate their health if you don't kill them quickly enough. It's fucking retarded. When I first saw that "Legendary enemy has mutated" I thought they'd actually change and gain some real special abilities, but no, they just regenerate so you can shoot them a few seconds more.
Oh, and they drop useless enchanted weapons like flame throwers that do ice-damage, because yay random generation.
