'A Clifton woman has been arrested after she allegedly provided beer and methamphetamine to four boys and performed a strip show for them.
Angela Pelley, 36, 424 32 Road, No. 434, who is registered as a sex offender in Mesa County, appeared in court Tuesday and was advised she could be charged with distribution of methamphetamine, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, indecent exposure to a child under the age of 15 and child abuse. She is being held in the Mesa County Jail on $150,000 bond.
Police began investigating Pelley after a 10-year-old boy told the principal at Rocky Mountain Elementary School that he, two 12-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy had gone to Pelley’s house on April 17. He said Pelley bought him and the other boys beer, provided them with meth to smoke and did a strip show for the other three boys, according to an arrest affidavit.
The principal passed the boy’s allegations along to a Mesa County sheriff’s deputy who works as a school resource officer at the elementary school.
The other boys initially denied what the 10-year-old said, but then admitted to using the meth and drinking the beer Pelley provided, according to the affidavit.
The mother of one of the boys told police she confronted Pelley, who admitted she bought beer and provided meth for the boys.
Pelley also admitted she was naked in front of the boys and looked at pornographic Web sites with them, according to the affidavit.
Pelley went to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department for an interview Monday and told a deputy she wanted to tell her everything that happened and cooperate fully but wanted to speak to a lawyer first.
She was asked no additional questions and arrested.
It was unclear from the affidavit how Pelley knew the boys.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Susan McBurney said Pelley is not related to any of the alleged victims.
Prosecutors are scheduled to file charges against Pelley on May 4.
Court records indicate Pelley was sentenced to a year on probation in October for forgery. She is registered as a sex offender because she was convicted of sexual assault on a child in 1993, according to court records.'
