Finally Got Bloodlines.

So, just finished the Haunted house... nearly pissed my pants a couple times.... :(

Oh hell, I know right? It's funny, the first time I walked into there, something flew off a shelf and hit me, so the first thoguht is "Pssh, I'm a fucking Vampire, some little poultergeist isn't gonna scare me!" another thing hits me and weird noises go off "Okay you can stop now house" then I start seeing the ghosts, all hell breaks loose and I just start speed-running that shit like nobody's business.

Brujah is a neat class, but never played a full game as them. My first run was as a Tremere, I specced really high into Thaumaturgy and loved it, being able to sneakily give enemies heart attacks or make enemies blood boil until they pop to for blast damage and total morale breaks was great. Plus the Tremere Chantry haven and the jobs from Strauss were cool little things.

Though I think my favorite clan is Nosferatu. Something about them was really great, the way people react to you, the sewer haven, the alternate travel methods, it was all neat stuff to get used to after your first playthrough or two as any of the more "normal" clans.

Dammit, now I may have to re-install after that little rush of nostalgia.

Now thats some really nice facial expressions!

Jack is like the Bender of Vampires. I love his style - hence Brujah on the first play-through.

I wish they optimized the game some more, 1GB RAM and my GPU really aren't enough to have a smooth experience...

Yeah, it's really a shame how bad the engine was for the game. I really wonder how the game would have been if it wouldn't have been done with an engine that still was in development.

I've to hold back not to start playing the game just because i saw this whole vids now ;)

I'm really courios how the Vampire-MMORPG from CCP will look or feel - because for Bloodlines is one of the few games which really seemed to got all things about NPC's right. And was really done in way that you got a fitting vibe for some 'Horror World'.

I think he is also the most powerful vampire in the entire game, given that he [spoiler:cb31413f99]was a pirate in the 17th century...[/spoiler:cb31413f99]

My favourite is Beckett, though. A polite badass who doesn't want to use you or screw you over.

An example of how great the Clan Quest mod is (compare the original Beckett VA to the Voice in this vid. They did a really great job)

I never liked the direct attack disciplines. Costs too much blood to be effective. Better to rape all your enemies with blood buff / celerity / presence / protean / fortitude activated and then drain the last one so you're good to go again.

Though when you eventually play a Malkavian, putting points into Dementation early on is essential for maximum madness. (I missed some nice dialogue because I didn't take it)

I've also read somewhere that Potence never takes your strength above 5. Don't know if it's true, but if it is, it's fairly useless compared to the alternatives. Given that blood buff takes your physical attributes to 5 anyway, for 2 more blood.

Anyway, this really shouldn't be necessary to optimize to enjoy this game, since the combat isn't exactly the enjoyable part of it. It's nice to be able to breeze through it though so you can concentrate on the more entertaining parts.

I'm playing as a Nosfertatu for the first time.
I 'obfuscate' stealth kill all those puny humans and destroy other undead with some blade + potence. I haven't invested any XP in Animalism. (yet)

Don't play a Malkavian on your first playthrough.

Same for Nosferatu. Neither class is fully enjoyable on a first playthrough, more fun on a second or later.
I disagree with this advice. I played Nosferatu the first time through and it was great, and there was lots of stuff in my second play I hadn't seen as a Nosferatu, so it was almost like getting to play for the first time twice.

Play whatever clan you want to play. They all work.

I ignored Animalism as a Nosferatu, simply because I didn't think I had enough points to do everything. If I ever play another one, I'm going to use it. Obfuscate is too fun to ignore, though. Once you can run around invisible, it's hard to go back.

You can even screw Jeanette as a Nossie.

Always wanted to try one, i can't get over the eyes of my Gangrel Girl though. It's freaky enough 8-)

I am totally a malkavian fanboy. Playing as one was the most fun I've had with a game since long time.

I'll guess if I would be reborn as a vampire, it would be a malkavian.

So the whole "Therese/Jeanette" situation was...err... interesting. I sided with Jeanette 'cause I'm a man of principle, it would've been wrong to screw her and then kill her. And, well, Therese was kinda a bitch...

It's also possible to save both, giving birth to the NPC "Tourette". It's difficult though, you need a lot of Seduction and Persuasion.
