Finished it Yet??

I have no trouble acknowledging the superiority of Fallout. It is a much better game in a variety of ways, but still: we're talking about Fallout 2 here. It's an unwritten law that every Fallout fan who wishes to be taken seriously should at least play and finish it 3 times or more.

It is also an unwritten law that every Fallout fan who wishes to be taken seriously should rent a copy of FOPOS under a false name (fake ID's can be purchased via the internet) and destroy it by dropping it from a tall building, drowning it in a pool of piss, shit and gasoline and putting it on fire (in that order!).

As for FOT: one should at least have tried to beat the first three missions.

I finished Fallout three times, and Fallout 2 about seven times (each time discovering new events and quests). I even managed to finish FOT, yet it was golgotha of boredom in the later missions, even on the highest difficulty level.

Finished all of them except FO:POS (thinking bout touching it until reading tons of bad review). I have this habit whenever I start playing a game, I must finish it (not apply on bad games. I just smash them after trying  )

I have finished Fallout about 5 times and Fallout 2 7 times, as I had Fallout 2 a while before I bought/found Fallout...

Fallout Tactics I have finished a few times now...

And FOPOS I finished once before burning it at the stake.

Fallout 2 was less fun than the random quest generators in Horizons: Empire of Istaria (or any other generic MMO"RPG").

Seriously. Fallout is the shit; Fallout 2 is, just, shit.

It's like a bad, overdone third-party mod for Fallout with way too many pop culture references.

Let's not start on FOT -- that one was like a badly done Fallout mod for a bad squad-based strategy game.

It is probably the better of the two, but I still stand by the fact that FO2 was the game i played first, thus it is my favourite.

Yeah agree fully here. Too many pop culture references that were sometimes out of place, but it did add a sense of knowing the post-apocalyptic world as one we may have lived in. Rather than throwing us into this world without or little reference to the world we live in today.

Exactly. The only reason I even touched this game was because it was Fallout. I enjoy seeing the Fallout world in different locations around the USA, and I find the Fallout Tactics landscape quite interesting... But let us not start on the ACTUAL stuff you have to do in the game and how it plays...

well, sadly i have finished fallout 1 only once, because the second time i was gonna install it, the cd just blew up in the cdrom :/ so i had to play more fallout 2 instead, which i have finished about 3 times by now. about tactics..i almost completed it, but after a stupid saving mistake and a nuclear explosion i just threw it away..

I strongly disagree, I think Fallout 2 was even funnier than Fallout, it was better in all aspects.

Sure, because Fallout is all about being funny! No, rly!

Hell, it is true I played Fallout 2 before Fallout 1, and indeed then I thought Fallout 2 was better. But after playing both of them several times, I started to see that Fallout 1 was a MUCH better game in all aspects. And after I started finding out more about the setting (knew almost nothing about the 50ies sci-fi at that time) it was clear to me that... yeah, Fallout 2 sucks compared to Fallout 1.

Still, it's a great RPG, nothing to comment on that.

I replay Fallout 1 from time to time. I've played it so much there's not much more to do really.

I've only finished Fallout 2 once, though. I never really end up playing it much longer than a few days.

I finished Fallout I six to eight times, everytime with the same character but acting different.
Only finished Fallout II once, but started a new game like five or six times, each time with another character.
And hated tactics right from the beginning.

Forgive me, masters! I must repent.
Wait, all is right with the world! HAHAHAHA.
There's no place like home... There's no place like home...

I've finished Fallout somewhere in the realm of 12-15 times, each time with a different character.

Only fininshed Fallout 2 maybe... 3 times, I think actually 2, though.

Played 4 or 5 levels of FOT before I uninstalled it and let it collect dust.

Rented FPOS out of curiousity and played for it for near 15 minutes. Quite possibly the worst 15 minutes of my culminated existence.

I honestly don't know why I finished Fallout about 5 times (multiplication) more than I have finished Fallout 2.

To me, Fallout just screams replayability. Its world is something I long to jump back into after a few months away, and I always do.

Oppositely, the idea of replaying Fallout 2 feels like a chore. Don't get me wrong, I love the game. It just doesn't suck me in and make me its bitch, like Fallout does.
